I really like this book, it's eay to use. I'll be keeping it after my class is over. My mom borrowed it over the weekend, and she loved it, she wants it back after the semester is over, she's not really good on the computer and she said this is the best book she's seen on Word!

I bought this Slimline KJV Bible today and Im very impressed with it. It is a great size, the Calfskin leather is very soft, its just a quality product with a lifetime guarantee backing it.

I bought the slimline so that I could have a portable King James Bible that I could take places, but I also wanted the font a comfortable size so that I wouldnt have to strain to see the words. This is the Bible I have been looking for. The paper and printing job on this Bible screams quality. It also has a concordance and maps in the back. The words of Christ are in red, my only complaint, as all scripture is God breathed.

I sent these Bibles back. They were perfect in every way, except for one point: The text inside had more publishers headings than I've ever seen. Not just one at the beginning of the chapter, than maybe another interspersed throughout, but rather every few verses was a comment to tell you what was next. Way too subjective. I was looki9ng for a Bible I could read, and then think about for myself. I almost keep them anyway as everything else was wonderful, the covers, paper etc, were beautiful. Looks like a Bible that would last a lifetime.

This is exactly what I was looking for in my primary preaching Bible. I like one large enough that you can hold it up before a crowd and they can tell what it is, and yet small enough that you can hold it while speaking and it not incumber your gestures. Now that you have the right size you need a Bible with a binding and pages that will hold up and last. The paper is thin, but does not bleed the print from the back side. The cover is soft as velvet, but the binding is rock solid. I really don't expect to have to buy another Bible for this use again (unless someone breaks the 8th commandment!). A bit pricey, but for long term investment worth it.

This is my favorite Bible that I've owned. It is very beautiful, is a perfect size for convenience yet I can still read without my reading glasses, and has everything that I want in a Bible.

I like my copy of the NKJV Signature series ultra slim Bible. I have been looking for a leather Bible with these proportions and a typeface that I can still read. This Bible fulfills those two goals. The fact that it is calfskin probably did make it a little easier for me to buy it. Originally, I wanted a NASB with these features (still do, I guess) but for the time being I am happy with this one. I would snatch up a Nelson's Visual Reference in NASB if they put a calfskin or even genuine leather cover on it (not bonded, simulated, pleather, etc.). Are you listening Nelson? OK, back to this Bible. It is soft to the touch, extremely flexible (you don't feel like you're going to break it if you fold the front cover back over itself) and light enough to hold for long periods of time. I noticed a little unevenness in the gold edging on the pages (with the Bible closed), they look like lighter spots or maybe water spots. The only other thing that puzzles me is why the front and back (flyleaves?) are glued about 1 inch from the spine creating pages that looks like a mistake was made. I don't have any other Bibles or books that have this kind of gluing, so it makes me wonder if it is indeed supposed to be this way. Other than that, I think it is a very nice Bible and would recommend it to anyone looking for something light, flexible, readable, and (I believe) durable.

I just received my Nelson Signature series Pocket bible from the great people here at amazon. Incidentally, I own two NKJV pocket bibles, a British Tan bonded leather editon with slide tab and a Black and Tan Royal soft edition. These two bibles have served me well. The Royal Soft edition is well constructed, it lays flat and the feel of the synthetic material is indeed one of soft leather. Now why did i have to get the signature series. Blame that one J. Mark Bertrand and His bible design and binding blog. His review of the KJV slim line signature bible caused a eureka moment for me and I decided to have the top of the line bible in these line of NKJV Pocket bibles. When I opened the box and unwrapped the white covering paper, I was amazed at the softness and suppleness of the black calf leather binding. It felt right and smelled right. You have to understand I have in my possession the top of the line editions of Cambridge bibles and Allan's bibles. These two seem to have the Lion's share of adulation from its legion of satisfied fans and customers. However Nelson finally outdid itself with the signature series. I was tired, really tired of nelson bibles falling apart because of poor binding and all that paste and glue ensemble. But this signature Pocket edition may well live up to its claim to be an heirloom. It is smythe sewn and lays flat, although this edition may need a little more break-in to do really do a flat split because of the thick endleaves on both ends of the bible. Like all the other reviewers i wished the quality of the paper was upgraded. It is no different from the bonded leather and Royal soft editions. This and only this aspect kept me from being perfectly happy with this bible. I don't know how long they will keep the signature series on the market that is the reason why I bought one, it may not be around forever. Imagine reading God's word while your hands sink into the soft calfskin leather cover. Man, it just makes reading the bible more pleasurable! If you want a clean pocket bible with no references to distract you, just the pure text of the sacred scripture to inspire you then get this Signature series bible.

I have been using this pocket bible for a month now and I must say that I thoroughly enjoy the experience. First of all the calfskin binding has got to be one the softest ever to wrap itself around the Holy Word of God . I particularly relish the way the soft calfskin leather sinks into your hands, much like a glove. I don't mind the black flat matte finish of this binding , in fact it adds character to this particular edition. When I first reviewed this edition I was a bit disappointed with the quality of paper, being used to India paper, however a months' use has all but erased that impression. The text is formatted in such as way that it appears crisp and clear to my late 40"s eyes. Well, I use a 1.25 grade reading glass, but since I am in the market for pocket bibles, this has got to be one of the clearest I have ever laid my eyes on. There are no references to distract you in the middle of the two column format, just the inspired text . Having grown up in the faith on the King James Bible, I am able to "hear" the King James in a fresh way through the New King James Version. The ink print is consistent both for the black as well as the red letter. Has it lain flat already? Compact bibles though bound in soft pliable leather may take time to achieve this flat split. This edition has thick , really thick endpapers that is currently resisting this desirable ability. It is indeed gratifying to be blessed in spirit as I read the Inspired, living and active word of God and still have my sense of touch invigorated because of the soft calfskin leather binding. After years of having Nelson bibles falling out because of the familiar paste and glue ensemble , finally comes a Nelson Bible that true to their ads , will stand the test of time.

First of all another reviewer mentioned the workmanship was subpar. He must have got a lemon. Mine is splendid. It is a joy to hold as the leather melts into your hands. The gold edging gives it that touch of elegance. The print is large enough to be comfortably readable. The textual variants are documented at the bottom of the page which are great. The size is such that you can take it anywhere and read discreetly. Sometimes you just want to read unencumbered by notes and commentary; this Bible fits that bill.

Just got my tan S.S. Pocket Companion Bible. Very nice. The leather is very supple and I love the natural tan color. The binding is quite stiff (sturdy?) and will take some breaking in before it will lay flat open. My only wish is that Nelson would publish a S.S. reference Bible. I like the extra translation notes and cross references that are included in their NKJV center-column reference Bibles (they use these also in some of the study Bibles like the MacArthur Study Bible).

This is a nice pocket Bible, but it is lacking in both quality and workmanship. For some reason Nelson publishers has chosen to use a questionable (CHEAP) paper in the production of this Signature Series Bible and as a result there is significant glare when read under artificial light.

In addition the cover is not stitched its glued! This is unacceptable for a SS series Bible and brings into question the ethics of Thomas Nelson Publications. A quality French paper, and a stitched cover would have made this Bible worth every cent.

I will return this book and never buy a Thomas Nelson Book sight unseen again.

I think this is a very nice pocket bible. If it had cross references and a concordance like their cheaper bonded leather w/snap, it would be great. If those two things aren't important to you then this is the one for you.
The quality is top notch. I believe this is my fifth Signature Series bible, only one of them was so so, it is the KJV Reference Edition. The only part I didn't like was the paper, it seemed like a lower grade. Outside of that all of them are without question the best I can find.

What to know when you order by .. Professional Student ()
I have ordered (3) books by this author, Word 2003 Expert and Specialist and Excel 2003 same edition. I also have the Professional Edition. The author is absolutely fantastic and easy to read and follow. You could teach yourself the programs.

However, be specific when it comes time to ordering the book and more importantly pay for expedited shipping. It was difficult in all three situations to get the person selling the book to ship it ON TIME!! 1-2 days should be max for a person to ship it to you regardless what shipping you choose! Took along time to get the books when i paid for expedited shipping and that causes problems if they are for classes.

Amazon confirmed a correct order, but the publisher sent the wrong book!! Not only did it take longer than it should have, but they refused to refund my shipping expenses to have it sent back. OPOE books is the worst company I think I have ever dealt with... and I run a multi-million dollar restaurant. They are not friendly, not professional, and need to be put to stake if you ask me. The poorest business practices I have ever witnessed. They claimed that they would have sent a return shipping label, but neglected to mention that prior to my return... besides the fact it shouldn't matter. I'm sure they have an accounting department with a checkbook that could easily mail one payable to me for the expense I incurred do to their wrongdoing.
