I enjoy reading this book to my son. The rythym and ryhme of the story and the children during their daily activities keep him interested. The concern is that on a page, the 3 babies are in a tub, ( two boys and a girl ) and they have drawn, in half detail, the private parts of a boy and the girl. Since this is a childrens book, small children at that, I think that this is un- called for and inexcusable! I have now put the book up to keep my VERY young son from asking questions that I believe he is too young to be interested in. The book is very good. The illusrators need a lesson in drawing pictures for childrens books. There is enough to worry about in this world.

Tap your toes and bounce baby on your knee as you read this rhythmic rollicking rhyme! I've used it successfully in a storytime for babies here at the library. The trick is to keep the rhythm going as you read. Babies love this! They also enjoy looking at pictures of other babies, and Fernando's culturally diverse cast of cartoon-style babies and toddlers doing familiar things have a sure appeal for young ones. When you want a change from Mother Goose rhymes, try this book!

This book is awful! The same (and very common) names are repeated again & again in this book. There are much better baby name books out there!

Contrary to the other reviewer's comments, my 3 month old son loves this book. It was the first book that captured his attention and we read it to him every night. The rattles incorporated as part of the book are the perfect stimulus to get a baby to focus. Now he really pays attention when we read his other bedtime stories.
