Product Description A special library binding for the Harry Potter series Customer reviews The Most Humorous Of The Harry Potter Series by .. Alex Hutchinson (Carver, MA) Chamber of Secrets has to be the most humorous of the Harry Potter series. The character of Gilderoy Lockhart had me rolling. His gleaming smile, audacious personality and hidden intentions made for a gripping tension between him and many of the other favorites at Hogwarts. This second book also set the stage for what we would come to expect as the yearly return to the school of wizardry. Each time the journey would change (This time including a flying car), new faces color the crowds and active scenery (An unhappy willow tree) adds depth to this secret world within our own. In this case the book far surpassed the movie.
Excellent by .. Norman Strojny (western desert of Utah) "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" starts out with Harry Potter, back at the Dursleys' for summer break. The Durseleys have not changed and are still not nice to Harry. Then, a flying ford filled with Weasleys shows up and Harry is off to visit with the Weasleys utill school starts.
The author manages to change the story line quite a bit from the first HP book and we are immersed in another series of Harry Potter adventures. This time, the dangers get a bit more sophisticated. Eventually, all ends well.
While this book is written for children, the characters are beginning to develop and the story is broadened beyond the confines of the first book. Also, there is a start to deepening our knowledge and understanding of the evil that threatens Harry's magical world.
This is an excellent fantasy adventure. I recommend the book.
Second favourite in the series! by .. kimMor () This is my second favourite in the series after Book 6.Splendid book, still addictive and brilliant!
Good by .. G. Rossi () Did not come with the Dust Cover but was in excellent shape and came on time.
Step 2 in a 7 step program by .. C. Perez Jr. (Orlando, FL) After reading the first book and diving headfirst into this one (like I did) you notice how the story itself is so well put together because it's like there was never a seperation. This starts where book 1 left off. And unlike book 1, where you can tell the main focus of the story was to develop who it is you're reading about and get planted into their lives, this book begins the slow yet ultimately satisfying dark plunge that the series as a whole is going to take.
During and after reading this you will come to understand that the rollercoaster of friendship, magic, prophacies, and ressurecting evil wizards is shaping up to be one hell of a ride.

Product Description Harry Potter has to sneak back to Hogwarts, after accidentally inflating his horrible Aunt Petunia. But once there everyone is whispering about a prizoner who has escaped from the famous wizard prizon, Azkaban. His name is Sirius Black, and as a follower of Lord Voldemort he is determined to track Harry Potter down -- even if it means laying siege to the very walls of Hogwarts! Customer reviews Azkaban Could Turn You A Lurid Shade Of Pale by .. Alex Hutchinson (Carver, MA) The third book in the Harry Potter series turns a lurid shade of pale as three very important figures are brought into view. Sirius Black escapes from Askaban quickly becoming the wizarding world's most wanted. His introduction is met with ambiguity from Harry who is equal parts curious, scared and brave. Professor Lupin is the new dark arts teacher who has a fear of full moons and a past as one of Harry's father's former childhood friends. The third figure is actually of collective of wraith like monstrosities known as Dementors. How could you not be chilled by a creature that feeds on a persons fear and can literally suck out your soul with a kiss of death.
Azkaban brought forth all of the fun one can derive from magical misery. The movie did a good job in copying the books mood. Both were thoroughly entertaining.
A very good read. by .. Norman Strojny (western desert of Utah) Well, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is longer than the first two HP books, but not better. I suppose that we have lost a bit of our wonder at Harry's world, but this book seems to be a slight let down from the high levels we enjoyed in the first two books. Nevertheless, we have a totally different start to this book than we had in the previous books.
Rowling continues to feed our curiosities by supplying new and different experiences and new twists and turns in the HP story. With the introduction to Sirius Black, and of dementors, to the main plot, Rowling takes the HP series towards a more mature tone and loses a bit of the whimsey that the first two books had. I thik Rowling does a very good job at telling a very good story while letting Harry start to grow up.
The finale of this book is long and different from the pattern of the first two books. Among other things, we learn of deeper and more powerful magical practices.
I may seem grumpy about some aspects of this book, but I was entranced by the author's abilities to tell a suspense-filled and adventurous tale, fit for adolescents of all ages.
I recommend this book.
Brilliant Sequel by .. Deborah E. Allen (Laurel, Md USA) J.K. Rowlings never lets her readers down Harry's quest to be happy stays alive in this book. Also, he gets to meet the only family he has left which makes Harry very Happy at the end of this sequel!!!!
The magic of Harry Potter by .. Mercedes (Colorado, USA) I read this book a few years ago, when the the thrill of Harry was in it's prime. I've seen the movie more times than I can count and I must say the movie is excellent but not as good as the book. I've just reread this book and can't beleive all I had forgotten. It's truly a page turner. From the start when Harry spots the Grim to when Mr Weasley warns Harry of Sirius Black's escape and hunt for Harry the reader is hooked. The Maurader's Map is a great addition to the Invisibility Cloak. The first 2 books were good, but you truly don't get into Harry until this book. Ron and Hermione's relationship is beginning to bud. Hermione is truly the goody goody in this installment. There were times I was mad at her with Ron and Harry. Getting the history of Harry's father's friends helped the story advance with background. This book also helps paint the picture of Snape and his hatered for Harry. The introduction of the Patronus is excellent. It's just as amazing in the book and the movie did a great job of reproducing it. All in all, I loved this book and recommend it to everyone who enjoys magic and fantasy reads.

Suspenseful sixth by .. Jeremy A. Cacho (USA) The Half-Blood Prince is somewhat of a build up to The Deathly Hallows. There is a great deal of suspense throughout the book, making the book a very fast read. From the beginning, this thrilling adventure entangles you and never lets you go until the very last page. Also in this book, unexpected events conclude with one of my favorite characters dieing making the ending have a very sad tone.
Anyone who likes suspense and action should read this book (and the series)!
Brilliant Novel, Yet the Darkest Harry Potter Book Thus Far by .. Tom L. (Nashville, TN USA) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince follows 16-year-old Harry Potter through his sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The book is darker than any of the prequels.
The book begins on a serious note. The new Minister of Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour warns the muggle Prime Minister of Voldemort's return. Voldemort is ready to kill on impulse and should be avoided by both members of the magic community and members of the muggle community. The number one target, of course, is the protagonist, Harry Potter. Harry has survived several former attacks by Voldemort and is prophesied to be the "chosen one" to kill him.
At Hogwarts, life is grimmer than it has ever been. Professor Snape replaces Professor Umbridge as Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. This was the one job that Dumbledore refused to give him in the past because of his former connections to Lord Voldemort. Snape has gained Dumbledore's trust in recent years and accepts the job. Professor Slughorn, a former teacher at the school, obtains Snape's former position as Potions Teacher. Slughorn is immediately fond like to any student with supreme magical abilities and invites them to his parties. Harry, Hermione, and Ginny are included in this group. In addition, Dumbledore returns to the school with a charred, shrunken hand. He refuses to tell anyone why this has happened. Lastly, Malfoy is bestowed an important task by Lord Voldemort, which Harry overhears in the Hogwarts Express. Harry has no idea what the task is, but is convinced that he needs to stop him by any means possible.
On a lighter note, Harry is enjoying his sixth year at Hogwarts. He finds a used potions book with written in tips and spells on how to make the best potions in the quickest amount of time. The person who previously owned the book, the "Half-Blood Prince" remains an important mystery in the novel. He receives high marks in this class for the first time, sealing his position as Slughorn's favorite student. On the Quidditch team, Harry continues his position as seeker and Ron becomes the new keeper. Harry also begins his first serious relationship with a girl. Also, Dumbledore gives private lessons on Harry on how to defeat the Dark Lord. They continuously use the Pensieve as a means to discover who Lord Voldemort was as a child and how he came to be the evil man that he is now. This is probably the biggest highlight of the school year for Harry.
As usual, J.K. Rowling has written a world-class novel: a mix of action, adventure, romance, and deceit, but has given this novel a scarier twist. The reader can easily decipher the story and follow the characters as they grow emotionally. Instead of solving mysteries set forth by previous novels, this one presents several new questions. What is Malfoy's task? Can Snape be trusted? Why is Dumbledore's hand charred and shrunken? What will learning about Voldemort's childhood do to help Harry defeat him? And, finally, who is the "Half-Blood Prince"? Read this novel to find out the answers to these questions, you will be in for a surprise. I recommend this novel 100%.
An incredible novel by .. Evan Wearne (Lincoln, NE United States) With every Harry Potter installment, I find myself saying the new installment is my favorite of the series so far. Book 6 is no exception, and I think it is a credit to the author. The hopelessness and despair have increased in order for the readers to feel the plight of the characters. Starting with this book and continuing into the next, the reader feels the despair that afflicts the good wizard community. It has some similarities to World War II Germany. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel, even if it was a bit gloomy.
Riddled With Riddles About Riddle by .. Franklin the Mouse (Gorham, ME USA) Ms. Rowling has created another well-crafted adventure/mystery to the Harry Potter series. The reader will come to understand why and how Lord Voldemort became the evil, obsessed antagonist of the wizardry world. The author did a fine job of depicting the main teenage characters in an age-appropriate manner. Just like many 16-year-olds of this difficult age, some of Harry's, Ron's, and Hermoine's decisions are completely self-serving, unethical and, dare I say, meanspirited. Also, their puerile mood swings are very convincing and believable. A few new colorful characters are introduced as well as the enmity between Potter/Snape grows deeper and darker. There are smatterings of happy and funny moments, but for the most this book is pretty gloomy. Ms. Rowling has crafted a cliffhanger that easily will propel me into reading the last installment.

There aren't even close to enough stars to give!
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by .. Andrew Barbee (Phoenix, AZ, USA) Excellent ending to a very interesting series of books. I enjoyed listening to the entire selection.
A must for any Potter fan by .. Brandon J. Palmer () Best book of the series. Read the entire thing in 2 days after it arrived. Have read it 5 times since.
Best in the series by far by .. mao_soup () I am not a foaming-mouthed Potter fan, though I like the series. I only just read it last year. I started in Dec '06 and finished when the new book came out. In fact, I read books 4,5,6 and 7 in like one month (For a slow reader like me this took a miracle. Either that or a few slow days at work....heh heh, ah it's the American way....)
Book seven is fantastic. It is far and away the best book in the series. Rowling seals the deal with the most intricate plot, the biggest battles, and the most spectacular surprises. If you haven't read this book by now you probably never will. Either that or you live on Saturn and your Amazon shipment is only now arriving...

Product Description I say to you all, once again--in the light of Lord Voldemort’s return, we are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided. Lord Voldemort’s gift for spreading discord and enmity is very great. We can fight it only by showing an equally strong bond of friendship and trust. So spoke Albus Dumbledore at the end of Harry Potter’s fourth year at Hogwarts. But as Harry enters his fifth year at wizard school, it seems those bonds have never been more sorely tested. Lord Voldemort’s rise has opened a rift in the wizarding world between those who believe the truth about his return, and those who prefer to believe it’s all madness and lies--just more trouble from Harry Potter. Add to this a host of other worries for Harry… • A Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher with a personality like poisoned honey • A venomous, disgruntled house-elf • Ron as keeper of the Gryffindor Quidditch team • And of course, what every student dreads: end-of-term Ordinary Wizarding Level exams …and you’d know what Harry faces during the day. But at night it’s even worse, because then he dreams of a single door in a silent corridor. And this door is somehow more terrifying than every other nightmare combined. In the richest installment yet of J. K. Rowling’s seven-part story, Harry Potter confronts the unreliability of the very government of the magical world, and the impotence of the authorities at Hogwarts. Despite this (or perhaps because of it) Harry finds depth and strength in his friends, beyond what even he knew; boundless loyalty and unbearable sacrifice. Though thick runs the plot (as well as the spine), readers will race through these pages, and leave Hogwarts, like Harry, wishing only for the next train back. Customer reviews great! and no more "kids novel" by .. K. jacobs () "the order of the phenoix is even darker than the last.

the characters are great and interesting. the story is long and complex.
but you will have to read it more than once to truely enjoy it.
The battle begins by .. CAreviewer () I love all the books. After reading it a couple of times, I have grown to like this book even more. He is angry and sullen, which is different than what we expect. However, He also grows up a bit by the end.
What can I say-I think J.K. Rowling is one of the best authors out there right now.
Fifth entry in a superb series. by .. James Yanni (Bellefontaine Neighbors, Mo. USA) I cannot rate any book in this series less than five stars, but I must confess to being somewhat disappointed with this book; not that it isn't superbly written -- it is -- but as it continues the pattern of the books getting somewhat darker as we get farther into the series, it was just a bit too depressing for my taste. I understand the reasoning behind the pattern, and appreciate the necessity of there being real losses to underscore the truly dire nature of the threat facing Harry & company. But I don't have to like it, and I don't. It doesn't keep me from appreciating the story, but I miss the somewhat more triumphant nature of the triumphs in the earlier books.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by .. E. Kacynski () I really enjoyed "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix". I believe that J.K. Rowling did an excellent job in writing this book. I think she was trying to set a dark and gloomy tone which was similar to the third book of the series. This basically sets up the big ending for the last two books. In this book, Harry is accused of using magic outside of school. There is a trial and Dumbledore helps Harry so he can continue attending Hogwarts School of Wizardry. Harry goes back to Hogwarts and before long Cornelius Fudge (the minister of the Ministry of Magic) appoints the defense against the dark arts teacher named Delores Umbridge as headmaster of Hogwarts. Because Fudge has so much power, he kicks Dumbledore out along with other teachers who he was suspicious of. Umbridge didn't allow the students to learn spells so Harry and his friends, Hermione and Ron join together with other students to learn defensive spells. I believe Umbridge was a perfect character that Rowling made for this book. She is nice at first, but then the more you got into the book, you realize she is very evil. I think Rowling really shows us how much Harry has matured over the five books. Ron is definitely not as strong and powerful as Harry, but you can tell how close these two have become. Without Ron, Harry wouldn't be as strong as he is because Ron is such a good friend and always supports and defends Harry. Hermione also really helps in this book. One example is when she and Harry decide to teach magic to a lot of kids from Hogwarts in order to fight off the "dark lord". Without Hermione in the book, it would lack a lot of love and adventure. I thought the plot was very well written. This book is easy enough for children of at least 8 years old to understand. This book contains a lot of action, humor, romance and adventure. I believe this is the best Harry Potter book that I have read.
Excellent, Nearly Super by .. Norman Strojny (western desert of Utah) "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" takes Harry back to school for his fifth year. This is the longest and most complicated book so far. I think that it is excellent and comes close to being a super book. However, J.K. Rowling did run into some problems. The major problem is how one fits a great deal into a smaller space. Yet, the author must be true to several ideas that permeate the entire series.
The result is a book that is somewhat darker than any previous book and a book that is somewhat more difficult to read.
I think that younger readers should read this book, one chapter at a time. This will be hard to do, because the earlier books could, almost, be swallowed whole. Here, one must chew on the story, one bite at a time.
Is it possible to improve on what J.K. Rowling wrote? Perhaps. However, I am glad that I do not have to try to do that.
Really, the introductory review supplied by the publisher (way up above) gives a good enough idea of what to expect in terms of specifics. Harry is older and is going through a tough phase of adolescence. The tension is growing between the forces of good and evil. And, Harry must grow up. In addition, all the major characters face some growing pains. Further, the author must point the tale in a particular direction to start lining up a clean direction towards the ending of the series. This requires that the plot must include the death of a semi-major character.
In short, the ending is not quite the heroic success of the previous endings. Nor is the ending as neatly tied together. Finally, the plot of the entire series turns in unexpected and complicated ways.
Yet, I rate this book highly. Have some patience reading this book. There is a lot of material to digest.
This is a very good book but requires some effort on the part of the reader.

Product Description HARRY POTTER BOXED SET 1-7 includes the seven phenomenal Harry Potter hardcover books by best selling author J. K. Rowling. These books are housed in a collectible trunk-like box with sturdy handles and privacy lock. Bonus decorative stickers are included in each boxed set. Customer reviews Harry Potter Boxset Books 1-7 by .. Terry A. Slade (Gunnison, CO, USA) I purchased this box set as a Christmas present. I was concerned about it arriving on time. The worry was needless, as this order came lightening fast!!!! It was just as described. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend purchasing from this seller. I was 100% satisfied.
Great series!!! by .. All-access Customer (USA) This series is a very intriguing story about a boy called Harry Potter who finds out he is a wizard. Harry is challenged by many obstacles, but always seems to overcome them. This series is good for 5th graders to all adults. It is science fiction/fantasy, not hard to comprehend. This series has nothing to do with the devil/atheism. If you read this series, you won't stop until the end.
Good books, bad shipping and "chest" by .. Xero (VA, USA) The picture is misleading... It looks like a sturdy box with metal corners and such. All of it is a printed mess on laminated plastic-cardboard like material. Excellent books inside mind you - just crappy presentation and packaging. The imagery of the product are there to mislead you into thinking that a quality chest was created in order to store your books. Obviously the prototype was used and may have been made out of a decent material.
The actual shipment of the object wasn't given much thought. The corners were crushed rather nicely - further detracting from the display.
Packaging and binding don't do the books justice by .. Drew Heywood (Richmond, VA USA) Scholastic did a great job designing the U.S. editions of the Harry Potter books. The illustrations are outstanding, far better than in the British edition. Unfortunately, the quality of the binding is terrible. I've had to tape the spines of three of my books, some after just a couple of readings.
If you would like to buy an heirloom set, try the Special Edition set still available at amazon.co.uk. (Sorry, but I can't insert a link.) It's significantly more expensive and you have to pay overseas shipping, but the books have genuine cloth bindings with place marker ribbons and come in a nice, cloth-covered case. By all appearances, they should last a few decades. I'm very pleased with my set and plan to buy at least one more set to pass on to my children. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Everything arrived on time from seller by .. Toni L. Cusimano (Murrieta, CA) Everything arrived on time. Like everyone stated the case is cardboard and will rip apart in no time. Don't get it wet.

From a dangerous descent into the Chamber of Secrets to the Triwizard Tournament to the return of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, each adventure is more riveting and exhilarating than its predecessor, and now all six books are available together for the first time in an elegant paperback boxed set. Customer reviews Exactly as advertised by .. C. Burks (Oklahoma) We were very pleased with the set. It was exactly as shown, arrived promptly, and was packaged well.
A Truly Magical Set of Books by .. phantasmagoria (florida, usa) Like many readers, I was one of those people who decided to read all of the Harry Potter Books at once, rather than endure the long waits between the release of each book. In fact, no sooner than I purchased Deathly Hallows, I went and ordered this set which include the paperback versions of books 1-6 (Book I: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Book II: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Book III: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Book IV: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Book V: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and finally, Book VI: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.).
After ravenously devouring each book one after the other, I can honestly say that I was blown away by the quality of this series. Without a doubt, J.K. Rowlings has created a timeless fantasy series that will appeal to future generations just like The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia.
Buying this set is a great way to get your hands on the first six Harry Potter Books, but it also makes for a great gift. The only drawback is that the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, is not included in this set.
I highly recommend this book set, especially to the Harry Potter fans who have only seen the movies and not yet read the books.

Product Description What did Harry Potter know about magic? He was stuck with the decidedly un-magical Dursleys, who hated him. He slept in a closet and ate their leftovers. But an owl messenger changes all that, with an invitation to attend the Hogwarts School for Wizards and Witches, where it turns out Harry is already famous.. . . Full color. Customer reviews A book that's packed with magic. An amazing beginning to an amazing series. by .. R S (USA) A short, skinny boy with untidy hair and broken glasses and a scar on his forehead. A tall, gangly red-head with various hand-me-downs from his five older brothers. A bushy-haired girl who is absolutely book-smart, but also sometimes bossy and rash. It amazes me to this day that such a hugely popular book series could star a main cast such as the one I just described. Even more amazingly, we actually care about these characters and all of their adventures.
Harry Potter owes a debt to the great fantasy that came before it, but it never falls into the trap of copying everything that preceded it. Sure, there are the fairly cliched plot devices of a young boy with dead parents who goes on an incredible journey to kill the male antagonist, but others like Hagrid the half-giant, Diagon Alley, Platform 9 3/4, Quidditch, the Invisibility Cloak, and the incredibly touching Mirror of Erised all came straight from Rowling's incredible imagination. There is something marvelous in every chapter of Harry Potter.
The writing in Sorcerer's Stone isn't perfect, and one could argue that it's not even good, but Rowling's sense of humor, and again, her imagination really shine through. Her writing is very accessible but never patronizing, making Harry Potter a perfect choice for young readers, not only to give them a perfect reading choice, but also to spur a possible life-long interest in reading.
One thing I like about the series is that it's not a clear-cut tale about good vs. evil (this is made clear by the last few books in the series). Plenty of important themes are tackled, and all of them with grace--another argument for why young readers should read Harry Potter.
All in all, there is just so much to love about the series. The first book will have you hooked; by the time you reach the third book, you will desperately want to finish up the whole series, even though you know that means about 3,000 more pages of reading. I think that Harry Potter will go down in history as one of the best fantasy series of all time--you can think about that what you will, as not everybody would agree with me on this one. But I can give this whole series a heartfelt recommendation.
Unlike Anything Available In The Fantasy Market by .. Alex Hutchinson (Carver, MA) Sadly I had seen the first Harry Potter movie before I read the book. For all of those who declared the first book superior I would have to disagree. Granted it is the begining source for all that we come to love about Harry and his friends, Hogwarts and the long driven drama against Voldemort but the story itself pales in comparison to such a brilliantly done movie. However, for those who have somehow avoided the tidal wave of media buzz concerning these books I would recommend that you start from the begining and enjoy this wonderful world one page at a time. Between the prose and film productions you are about to take a grand journey unlike anything available in the fantasy market.
OVERRATED by .. Vance (buffalo, new york United States) If you like card board characters, tired old plot, bad writing, this book is for you. Kids, please, there are so many better books out there. And we wonder why the aliens don't want to meet us.
Super! by .. Norman Strojny (western desert of Utah) "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" Apparently, I am the 5434th person to leave a review. I will try to keep it short.
I am a retired older person and, ten years ago, I bought a copy of the previous edition for myself and my wife and a second copy for my, then, eight-year-old step granddaughter and her eleven-year-old brother. We, each, enjoyed the story tremendously. We have followed the Harry Potter stories through to finishing the seventh book, last year.
This is the easiest and the shortest book of the series. However, the author, J.K. Rowling, introduces the reader to many new sorts of things. The ending of this book is very good and this novel is a complete story.
I have read this story several times and am still happy with it, from beginning to end.
You may hear or see criticisms of the Harry Potter books. You may, also, hear or see many folks who praise the books. Please form your own opinions by reading this book for yourself. At first, Harry will be the character that you get to know the best. As the series continues, you will get to know several characters, very well. None of the characters are perfect people. However, Harry and his friends are people whom you would like as your friends. Finally, Harry and his friends do good things throughout the series of books. That is an important point that some folks have a hard time seeing, but it is there in every book.
I recommend this book, highly.

Product Description When first released to Muggles in March 2001, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Quidditch Through the Ages further enlightened Harry Potter fans about the dangers and delights of the wizarding world. Now these two charming works of non-fiction are available in hardcover -- in a special keepsake slipcase edition! Customer reviews Fun read by .. M. Romyns (Clifton, NJ) While it is not a Harry Potter book per say, it is fun to know what kids learn in Hogwarts
Very Clever Books! by .. Sugar Pie (Texas, USA) These 2 books are precious. They look worn and beat-up, like they've ridden around in students' "rucksacks" for years. They have "grafitti" written in them by Harry, Ron, and Hermione and dire warnings by Madame Pintz. Even Dumbledore has written (in his long, slanted script) in one of them to clarify things for students (and us Muggles). Just two very cleaver books that are a great accompaniment to the HP novel series.
Ever wonder what the difference was between a Wizard and a Warlock? Or what a bludger was made of? The answers are here!
Must have for Harry Potter fans by .. Annette Poarch (Nashville, TN) This is a great little set of books. It is a must have for all Harry Potter fans - old & young!!!!
For the ultimate Harry Potter fan by .. Vaughn Gardner (Eastern WA) The Harry Potter School Book Set is a must for every Harry Potter fan. The books are great reads and of course, J.K. is a story teller extrodinaire.
Good Addition To a Harry Potter Collection by .. Eric Smith () The Harry Potter Schoolbooks are written as if they really came from the wizarding world. The box set contains just too books which are around 50-70 pages long each, but include interesting back-story about the world of Harry Potter with respect to beasts and Quidditch. The books are inexpressive and also 20% of the cost should go to charity. I would really like to see more schoolbooks come out now that the seventh book in the series has been written. Half-Blood Prince's Potions book anyone?

Product Description Fourteen-year-old Harry Potter joins the Weasleys at the Quidditch World Cup, then enters his fourth year at Hogwarts Academy where he is mysteriously entered in an unusual contest that challenges his wizarding skills, friendships and character, amid signs that an old enemy is growing stronger. Customer reviews The point where the series went downhill by .. Colin J. Salt (Ulster County, NY US) This book is the point where the series went downhill. Out goes the tight plotting and the magical whimsy that made the earlier books so fun, in goes a poorly edited brick of a book that is packed with useless filler and contains quite possibly the largest plot hole I have read in any novel. It's a shame that the subsequent books in the series would carry over all of the bad elements of this book and none of the good elements of the previous entries.
A True Action/Adventure Story by .. Alex Hutchinson (Carver, MA) It seems that each of the Harry Potter books has it own secondary genre. The first book was an introduction, the second a comedy, the third a dark horror and the forth book - a true action/adventure story. The Goblet of Fire was a fun read simply because there was so much to picture. Here we are engulfed in the fantasy side of the wizarding world complete with dragons, mermaids, giants and the definitive return of a persistent evil doer. Even if the story was lacking depth, the visual imagery was not. From the World Quiddich Cup to the Tri-Wizard Tournament the vastness of what could be out there and yet not known is so much fun to think about. I consumed this book much faster than the previous editions.
Great Quality by .. John E. Nelson () Surprisingly I found the book to be in excellent order. I purchased the book for my nephew and was quite overjoyed to see that it was in outstanding condition. I would highly recommend this seller.
In my opinion the best Harry Potter novel by .. Connor Jakes (Bristol) In my opinion the best Harry Potter novel. Maybe not the best movie but as far as book go the best. The imagination from JK Rowling was far better, Harry starts to grwo up. Prof Snipe is scary in this book.
Excellent by .. Norman Strojny (western desert of Utah) "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" is much thicker than the previous HP books. Once again J.K. Rowling takes her magical series of tales in a darker direction. However, do not be mistaken. There is plenty of light touches and twists and turns to keep the intrest of teenagers. Early on, we are treated to a professional quidditch match, followed by a touch of evil. Harry gets back to school again, then the competition for the Triwizard cup begins. The competition is quite exciting. And, the ending of the story is breathtaking. Meanwhile, we meet Mad Eye Moody and Rita Skeeter and continue to bumb into characters such as Snape. Also, Harry begins to notice that girls are interesting.
For me, the series picked itself up to a higher level, again.
I recommend this book.
