I was hoping for something more comprehensive than this. It's got all the characters and how to find them in the beginning in alphabetical order. Chronological order would've made more sense, cause I have to keep going back and forth and hoping I don't miss someone I want.

Radiata Stories is a pretty good action RPG, but it involves a lot of party recruiting (about 177 are possible). Because each character has a daily schedule, it can be hard to track them down. You must also recruit some characters (and level them up) before you can recruit others. This guide does a good job of explaining which characters are worth recruiting and how to go about doing so. A guide like this is a must if you wish to get the most out of Radiata Stories.

Radiata Stories is a game that desperately needs a game guide. Not because the story itself is difficulty to work through. The games mission structure guarantees that you will always play through the required steps - even if it is possible to postpone the inevitable for some time in many cases. It's the ongoing quest for recruit and friends that demands detailed information.
This is a game that requires relationship builds both to build the primary character, but also to assemble a team of characters that can actually win the game. Each character has special requirements for friendship and much of the games problem solving is in working one's way through the requirements of the various levels of characters, many of which require that you have made other friends earlier. This is complicated, and a guide is needed if you want the play with maximum strength.
Brady's guide provides this information in deep detail, but the arrangement is a bit frustrating. The character section is separate from the walkthrough, and the latter rarely ever gives you a hint on when it is best to start recruiting which character. You simply have to look each character up as soon as you meet them and hope you can keep things together in your head. Other than this particular frustration, the walkthrough itself is excellent. Maps abound, as well as plentiful enemy descriptions. There are occasional mistakes where a particular building or store is mislocated. Assume you will have to know your turf thoroughly whether you have this guide or not.
The guide is well illustrated, and provides a much better explanation of play than either the manual or the game itself. This is important, because development is complex, and you are likely to realize the importance of some activities too late to take advantage of them. I consider this a successful manual because it extends the game, rather than shortens it. This is one of Bradygame's better efforts.

This Brady Games official strategy guide has the potential for all the right stuff, it's just too bad it had to be half baked. Let's start off by giving the authors and illustrators some overdo credit. Dan Birlew lays it all out nicely and concisely. The illustrations and maps look great too. Your guaranteed a "walkthrough" of this game...untill you require specific details in regards to stats and numbers. That's when the editors and publishers take over and ruin the guide's quality. Instead of taking the extra time to present a few extra pages full of stats and simple charts, your given an advertisement with a cheesy code to look on Square enix's official playonline websight. Now to be fair, most of the "playonline" bull rubbish consists of enhanced or finer details that in the end, don't really detract from gameplay. We don't NEED to know what range of stats Zidane's weapons might provide as it's usually best to get ALL the gear you can in this game anyways...they play a role in character development. You can compare and contrast on your own as the guide will at least detail item locations. As I mentioned before, Dan Birlew is not to be blamed. He does his job of providing a competent walkthrough that will never leave you confused and guide you all the way to the end of the game. It's the editor's fault for requiring that the guide be written this way. There is no excuse to have a consumer pay the typical 14.99$ USD price point for a thin and meager guide lacking in it's finer details. Espescially when all the other Brady Games Final Fantasy guides cost around the same price but do a better job. The guide serves more as an advertisement for Square Enix's benefit. And just when you thought this guide couldn't be worse than it already is, just try following it's advise to go to playonline these days...Final Fantasy IX support has been taken off the site completely and replaced with Final Fantasy XI online content. Brady Games has never published anything this bad before and i've seen bad trust me! Pass this train wreck up and either look for an english translated import FFIX guide, or go to Gamefaqs.

For an "official strategy guide", this book is very short on strategy.
Apparently, the idea with this book was to make it more interactive. It frequently points you to an official Square company website and has you use keywords to find the information you need. "For more strategies against this boss, or to find a special treasure in that room, go to the site and input such-and-such keyword!" Interesting idea in theory. Very bad in practice.
First of all, how many people have the time to leap up to their computers in the middle of the game and hit a website? It can be done, but that is so annoying. The point of having a dead-tree guide is to have the info at your finger tips when you need it. But a huge chunk of the info can't be found in the book. Useless.
And just to add insult to injury, the website is barely functional. If you actually do go there and input a keyword from the guide, there's a good chance that you'll get back an error message telling you the page you want doesn't exist. Gee, how wonderful that the main feature of this interactive strategy guide **frequently doesn't work**. Of course, you may be spared the annoyance of the website not working, because instead you'll suffer from the annoyance of not even being able to find it. While it is still up, it is no longer at the playonline URL included in the book and is not easy to find.
Now, the actual book-portion of the guide does have some good info that you don't have to coerce the website into giving up. For instance, in the book there are tables of all the learnable abilities, organized by which characters can learn them, complete with which items the character can learn them from. That is quite handy if, for some reason, you're hunting down a specific ability for a specific character. There is also an appendix of info about the monsters. This beastiary really is quite complete and, from what I've been able to see, quite accurate. Though, again, a fair amount of info about each monster has been redacted from the book and can only be found on the website.
But the lion's share of the book (the walk through, side-quest info, and treasure hunting) is abysmally lacking. So no, this guide isn't completely useless, but it is mostly useless. Don't waste your money on this rip-off. Web-surf to a Final Fantasy IX fan site or to Gamefaqs instead. It's free and their strategy guides are much more informative.

+ Good info on abilities and monsters.
Cons:
- No info on pretty much everything else.
- Partner website is hard to find and almost non-functional.
- Complete waste of money.

I just got this today and its quite colorful, really nicely laid out and loads of cute pictures.
It is, unfortunately, not as helpful as I was hoping it would be. I thought that the faqs on gamefaqs[...] were more helpful and more interesting to read. That's just probably because of my age group though :( since I found the writing to be really formal and a little dry. But it was informative. In fact, its kinda like reading my biology book for class Oo; Go figure.
I wish there were a little bit more detailed information - a lot of it is general overview. For example there's a great section about wild animals - but it doesn't list what the wild animal's favorites food are :(
Also, this isn't the author's fault at all - but there's a good number of miniscule mistakes in it as well. oO; mismatched images [...].
Freyashawk includes a lot of really great hints though that I find handy :) What this guide has a LOT A LOT A LOT of are lists. Which is good - if you're a list person. :) Since I'm a really visual person, I'm glad that I did purchase the guide. If you're not a [...] for pictures and you want little hints or information - you'll be quite well off sticking to gamefaqs. :)
As for me, I'm quite happy with my guide. I sure could use more pictures though! :D haha, but that's just personal preference really [ and in all honesty - this guide has a lot of graphics anyways I just want more :D ].

I really love the harvest moons, and this one is a very complex version. I havent played it for a long time yet, but highly suggest that you buy the guide. It has so many things to learn, that you need the book to play.

My sister is adamant against using guides or cheats but one of the crazy parts about the wind waker game is that you have to find these small Triforce shards. If you didn't have the guide you would never find them all. In the end she thanked me for buying the guide. I must admit that even though the game looks some what childish the replay value and story line are pretty decent. It is very non threatening game with a lot of light hearted comedy. The world of the game is huge and there is a ton of stuff to do and see. In other words the guide is a must have because it takes you step by step through the game and points out tons of stuff you probably missed the first time through the game.

this guide has everything you need in it to complete the game fully exept that it has one mistake in it. in the list of all the heart pieces there is one listed twice and one missing. heart piece 43 should be at rock spire island and to get it you need to defeat the boats in the area and haul up the treasure they leave. one of them is a heart piece.

Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is not an easy game to write a strategy guide for, considering how very many tangents and extra features there are in the game. But this book succeeds pretty admirably, walking you throught the tough parts step-by-step. The charts that cover such things as where to find Heart Pieces and Treasure Maps are especially helpful. The only problem with the book is that in a few places, it directs you to use more difficult methods than necessary to accomplish tasks - for example, it might tell you to use water jars to cool off lava to make a footpath (hard to do and usually gets you burned a few times) when you can simply use your grappling hook to swing across the lava with no problem. But overall, this book is pretty much a must for anyone with a Zelda: Wind Waker game.

I was a bit surprised when the game left out all sorts of important information - such as key treasure locations, infamous monster locations, and actual general "strategy" for how to beat baddies and bosses. (you're better off looking up a guide from GameFAQs)
The only reason this gets a moderate 3 stars is because of the maps. Having a visual guide for the overworld treasures was pretty darn helpful, enough to bat a half-blind eye at this book's considerable flaws.

This is useful to use along with online walkthroughs. A detailed walkthrough, with specific strategy suggestions for each boss, would require a book much longer than this one. This book does give a primer on how to begin and then goes on to describe the various battle skills and spells, as well as handy descriptions and recipes of armor and weapons and items. The maps are nice also. This book has enough information to play the game, even without the walkthroughs. The walkthroughs, though, give some protection from the trauma of being beaten in battle and their suggestions can get you through parts of the game more speedily.

The good about this guide is that it is NOT a walkthrough, is a GUIDE, meaning that you don't get spoilers of any kind, just a guide to optional interesting items, a bestiary, treasure chest locations and maps of cities, a guide, if you want someone to tell you where to move the cursor you are probably better off with some IGN text one. To me this is a good thing because you still have the story to look forward to and don't have to worry about impossible mazes or whatever, and it is fair.

This guide does have great info and it's huge has lots of maps but it doesn't hold your hand and tell ya how to get from point A to B. Doesn't give away any story but there's alot of missing infomation i was more frustrated because the lack of info. It give's info on some aspects of the game while others just non-existent. This is more of a game atlas then a game guide with some side information i suggest gamefaqs or other online sites be better if you really want to have a guide then i suggest getting the piggyback uk version of the guide be bit more expensive but has full info and walkthrough i got mine at amazon.co.uk i give the piggyback version 5 stars but this guides just falls quite bit short as a game guide.

Bought this for my husband not so much for the information on missions but the items to be found. As I almost passed all the story-line missions, I looked at my stats and realized that I only completed 43% of the game. I realized that there were some rampages and races that I didn't complete, but I still knew that I missed a lot of game here! I bought this guide and it made me realized that there are side missions out there that I didn't even knew existed like "Avenging Angels" or "See the Sight Before Your Flight" side missions.
This is a huge 225-page guide full of stats, maps and pictures that give you how-to-walkthrough of every mission. There is also a vehicle "showroom" section that shows you every single vehicle in the game, including vehicle's speed and handling score. The same is done for weapons sections.
This guide includes every nook and crany; however, if you are an expert, you may not need a lot of stuff that is in there. For example, it tells you what exactly going one during wanted levels(1-star is where one cop chases you...and 6-star is where the military takes over, etc.) If you're an expert, you may not need that information, but its still nice to know its there, as this guide is for a GTA expert and GTA newbie alike.
Also, I did find some misc. errors in the guide. On a map where the parked vehicles are shown, it states that Deimos SP is parked on the Cedar Grove highway, when in fact, its Phobos VT that is parked there. I'm sure there are a few minor errors here and there, but its hard to penalize the overall score based on that because the positives heavily outweight the negaives.
The final 50 pages of the guide are a MUST for anyone who wants to beat the game 100%. It gives you details of all the side missions, as well as, a full-page map, which shows you where every rampage and hidden package is located. Also, shows you where every weapon and police bribe is located as well as payphones where you have contacts calling you for street races.
Bottom Line: There are websites out there which will tell you how to beat the game, so you may not want to buy this game for walkthrough alone. However, if you want to 100% complete this game, this is a must, especially it being a $10 bargain.

I have found that in several other guides written by dan birlew the items, magic, etc. are listed incorrectly. it appears he's done it again. if all you need is a map and some helpful items then this book is for you. however, i wouldn't be so generous as to call it comprhensive knowledge for the game. once again, locations, items, and other general mis-knowledge comes up several times throughout this book. for a real eye-opener as to how bad the author is, play this game and read some online faqs at gamefaqs.com and compare the knowledge.

This game guide is one of the best that i have seen yet for chrono trigger...though the cover isnt very flashy it is after all what is inside that counts. With this guide you wont have to worry about getting lost in that annoying dungeon or get defeated by that darn nasty boss and have to keep reloading your game. not only that but with this guide you will be able to complete all 11 alternate endings of the game. yes it may seem like a lot of work but it is worth it everytime, trust me. rest assured this guide will bring you to the top of your game.

this guide is definatley one of the worse guides i have ever used. I foud items that weren't listed at the begining of each section mislabled items, a couple of their boss sugestions were poorly done, in the final fight it claims Zeromus is a counter atacke well he's not onc you hit him he dose't stop. Directions were poorly done, secret areas were not described. Their suggested levels were too high, up until the final boss fight wher they are pretty acurate

This is a well written guide covering two wonderful games. I found it very helpful, especially for Chrono Trigger, which I had not played in any form before. It's got all the basics covered, but there were a few tricks that it left out, such as the rather odd but very useful trick of slowing down the battle speed in FFIV to make the battles easier.

Love the Harvest Moon products and always looking for ways to expand my playing experience. Unfortunately, I found this book not to be as informative as I would have wished for. They give a walkthrough in the book that seems like you're able to REALLY upgrade your farm in just the first two years with time to spare wach day. I haven't found it to be that easy. Really wanted more information on events, items, etc.
