first time by .. emipubqueen () This is my first time dealing with this seller. It was a positive experience and I will recommend the seller to others.
Fire Protection Book by .. Joan F. Ordonez () As this is a textbook needed for school, I found it very frustrating that it took nearly two weeks to receive the book. Especially at the beginning of the school semesters, I would hope that you would try extra hard to get textbooks out ASAP as teachers assign reading and writing assignments from the first day of class. Unfortunately, we don't find out what book is needed till the first day of class either!!!
Good book by .. David C. Morphis (Ontario, CA United States) The book has been an excellent way I can learn about becoming a fireman.

Customer reviews Fire Protection Handbook by .. J. Lindner (Gem Lake, MN United States) Clearly, this book is not for general interest, unless you aspire to be a fireman, but it definitely serves an important purpose. The two volumes are arranged by catagory then divided into chapters within each catagory. It covers fire safety, construction, storage of mateirals, fire suppression, etc. These books address everything to know about fire safety and keeping people safe from fires.
No Facilities or maintenance department should be without this handbook. No fire department should be without it. No insurance company should be without it. The two volumes are quite large, but if one has a question about fire safety, the answer should be in these two voumes.
Excellent handbook by .. J. Dimyadi (New Zealand) Wide coverage of fire safety engineering subjects in two volumes from fire sciences, fire prevention and protection systems, material properties, types of building occupancies.
Also, a great companion to the SFPE Fire Protection Engineering handbook.
Highly recommended for students as well as practising fire engineers.
GREAT REFERENCE FOR THE FIRE SERVICE by .. () This book is like a "bible" on Fire protection covers a lot of different areas. If you are involved with Fire Protection, this book is for you. Its made for those studying the field, or those that are in need of a good reference.

Product Description The security and economic stability of many nations and multinational oil companies are highly dependent on the safe and uninterrupted operation of their oil, gas and chemical facilities. One of the most critical impacts that can occur to these operations are fire and explosions from accidental or political incidents This publication is intended as a general engineering handbook and reference guideline for those personnel involved with fire and explosion protection aspects of these critical hydrocarbon facilities. Several other reference books are available that provide portions of the necessary information required to evaluate hazards, provide fire protection measures, or determine insurance needs. However, most are not fully complete in mentioning all technical subjects and some have become somewhat technically outdated. They usually tend to be a collection of technical papers or else provide a broad coverage of subjects without much practical applications or details. The main objective of this handbook is provide some background understanding of fire and explosion problems at oil and gas facilities and a general source of reference material for engineers, designers and others facing fire protection issues, that can be practically applied. It should also serve as a reminder for the identification of unexpected hazards at a facility. Explosion and fire protection engineering, principles for the hydrocarbon industries are still being researched, evolved and expanded, as is the case with most engineering disciplines. This and handbook does not profess to contain all the solutions to fire protection problems associated with hydrocarbon facilities. It does, however, try to shed some insight into the current practices and trends being applied in the petroleum industry today. This book is generally written from the point of reference of the United States but does attempt to reference other international codes, standards and practices where they have been referenced or heavily used by the international oil industry. It does use SI units as the normal units of measure, to as these are typically used in the international oil industry. Related Search : handbook fire , chemical related , explosion protection
