The point where the series went downhill 1 by .. Colin J. Salt (Ulster County, NY US)
This book is the point where the series went downhill. Out goes the tight plotting and the magical whimsy that made the earlier books so fun, in goes a poorly edited brick of a book that is packed with useless filler and contains quite possibly the largest plot hole I have read in any novel. It's a shame that the subsequent books in the series would carry over all of the bad elements of this book and none of the good elements of the previous entries.

A True Action/Adventure Story 4 by .. Alex Hutchinson (Carver, MA)
It seems that each of the Harry Potter books has it own secondary genre. The first book was an introduction, the second a comedy, the third a dark horror and the forth book - a true action/adventure story. The Goblet of Fire was a fun read simply because there was so much to picture. Here we are engulfed in the fantasy side of the wizarding world complete with dragons, mermaids, giants and the definitive return of a persistent evil doer. Even if the story was lacking depth, the visual imagery was not. From the World Quiddich Cup to the Tri-Wizard Tournament the vastness of what could be out there and yet not known is so much fun to think about. I consumed this book much faster than the previous editions.

Great Quality 5 by .. John E. Nelson ()
Surprisingly I found the book to be in excellent order. I purchased the book for my nephew and was quite overjoyed to see that it was in outstanding condition. I would highly recommend this seller.

In my opinion the best Harry Potter novel 5 by .. Connor Jakes (Bristol)
In my opinion the best Harry Potter novel. Maybe not the best movie but as far as book go the best. The imagination from JK Rowling was far better, Harry starts to grwo up. Prof Snipe is scary in this book.

Excellent 5 by .. Norman Strojny (western desert of Utah)
"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" is much thicker than the previous HP books. Once again J.K. Rowling takes her magical series of tales in a darker direction. However, do not be mistaken. There is plenty of light touches and twists and turns to keep the intrest of teenagers. Early on, we are treated to a professional quidditch match, followed by a touch of evil. Harry gets back to school again, then the competition for the Triwizard cup begins. The competition is quite exciting. And, the ending of the story is breathtaking. Meanwhile, we meet Mad Eye Moody and Rita Skeeter and continue to bumb into characters such as Snape. Also, Harry begins to notice that girls are interesting.

For me, the series picked itself up to a higher level, again.

I recommend this book.

i love this book, its a master piece.this bookposter with the imformation.
ITS SO COOL!!!!!

Less Dan Radcliffe 3 by .. Sara Cooper (Birch Run, MI USA)
I really liked Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. In fact, it is my favorite one of the series so far. The one thing I do not like about this posterbook, is that Dan Radcliffe seems to take up most of the pages just because he is Harry Potter. I really was hoping for more pictures of Rupert Grint who plays Ron. After all, some of the hilarious scenes of him in his hideous dress robes were classic but yet he only receives two pages in the posterbook. Even Emma who plays Hermione was short sided. Also, there was only one picture of Cedric Diggory and considering the outcome of his character, I figured there would of been more of him in there. Anyways, I just think some of the pictures could of been better and there could of been more of certain characters.

Just to let you all know, The Order of the Phoenix posterbook is better. It doesn't have information about the actors like the Goblet of Fire posterbook, but the pictures are better in my opinion. Then again, there are way too many pictures of Dan Radcliffe in it. I don't care if he is Harry Potter. I don't think it is fair to the other characters in the film. In the end, if you're looking for more pictures of your favorite character such as Ron Weasley or Draco Malfoy, then you're looking in the wrong spot. On the other hand, if you're a Harry Potter/Dan Radcliffe fan, then this posterbook is definietly for you.

HP and Goblet of Fire Movie Poster Book 5 by .. Mary E. Noble (Buena Park, Ca. USA)
I thought it was very well put together. Very well thought out as far as the way the pictures were put in the order they were in the book. I enjoyed reading about each person and their likes and dislikes, which make them seem more human. I enjoyed this book a lot as well as the other ones in the Harry Potter Movie series.

Fire Service 5 by .. G. Ferenczi (USA)
This revised edition of the Fire Service and the Law has resulted from the major changes that have occured during the last decade which have affected the legal position of all members of the fire service . This book is designed not merely to give instruction in the law , but to provide understanding of how the fire service operates within the bounds of our nation's laws. Among the basic topics covered are characteristics and behavior of fire , fire hazards of materials and buildings , fire protection equipment and systems, codes and standards for fire protection and prevention, and fire fighting forces and how they operate.

Skip this one! 1 by .. Dick Biggerstaff (Dallas/Ft. Worth)
I have ENDURED the last two weeks reading this book. It was required reading for me because it was listed on my FD's source list for our upcoming promotional exams. I had to read each chapter a MINIMUM of three times before attempting the next one.

My primary complaint is the wording of the text. It was not written for firefighters. It reads as if one was attempting to impress a review board with "scholarly" words and abstract ideas. If you thrive in academia, then this is the book for you. If you are looking to gain insight to real world, firefighter-motivated management - skip this book. It's content reads "sluggishly" and "rambles on" like Brannigan's "Building Contruction for the Fire Service". An abridged version of this textbook would be MAYBE 100 pages.

My secondary complaint is that it appears to be written for either volunteer or small combination fire departments - not for large career organizations.

Being a management major in college and MBA candidate, I was initially excited about studying a fire service oriented management book. After reading it, my study group of firefighters and I were disppointed.

A must read for serious fire service practitioners. 5 by .. (Dr. Harry R. Carter)hcarter@monmouth.com (Adelphia, New Jersey (USA))
This newly-revised standard text for fire service management is a must-read selection for the serious fire service manager (or those who aspire to such positions). In this latest edition, my co-author and I have revised, updated, and reoriented the chapters on every aspect of fire service management, leadership, administration, and operations.

We have added case studies to emphasize the facts which are being taught in each chapter.

A new chapter has been added on the latest service delivery developments. EMS, Hazardous Materials, and specialzied rescue topics, among others, are now covered.

We have added an extensive list of related management reading recommendations to assist those who will teach their fire service management courses from our text.

It is our hope that you will enjoy our efforts at improving the ways in which fire service people will look at managing fire and related emergency service organizations.

Like the energizer bunny, it just keeps going. 5 by .. Atheen M. Wilson (Mpls, MN United States)
I have to admit that I enjoyed book four less than the other three--when I read it in English. For some reason the story seemed fragmentary, overly complex, and poorly focused. I felt the movie brought a greater sense of direction and theme to the story. After having read the book again in French, however, I'm inclined to feel I misjudged it. I suppose, having to focus my own attention more closely to read the material in a foreign language, I saw the mental lines along which the story was constructed more clearly. The author is truely brilliant.

As before, this book in French, too, is a wonderful way to learn the language. Book four is definitely more complex in vocabularly and gramatical structure than the earlier books, just as it is in English, but also as in English, it coaxes the reader along, encouraging him or her to stretch a little bit to understand that word or that sentence, to be just a bit more patient and put it all together. Reading Harry in French gave me once again that same sense of joy I had when learning to read in the first place.

Perfect for the Frech student or speaker. 5 by .. (Gahanna, Ohio United States)
Reading this book wasn't just fun, but it really helped me in my French. I learned more in reading it than I have in all of my classes combined. There are some little changes in it, but that is because of the language difference and my over-reading the English version led me to know its wording too well. Still, that only made it more fun. I'd recommend this to any French student.

Quelle surprise 5 by .. ()
Les trois premiers livres de la serie m'ont epate mais celui-ci "WOW". L'histoire est tellement pleine de rebondissements imprevus et quelle fin, c'est tout un revirement!

French Version of Harry Potter helps in school! 5 by .. ()
I bought the French translation of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire for my son who began his first year of French this year in Middle School. It has been great fun and encouragement for him. His teacher found it fun as well, reading short excerpts from it to the French class. Everyone loves Harry!

Imagination and How It Was brought Out 5 by .. ()
I never really liked to read. It was just too boring. Reading all those pages that had no effect on me. Then I heard about Harry Potter. Everyone really liked it. I wanted to see what the big deal was. I read the first book. I thought to myself how imaginative it was. The creatures, the characters, and the plot. They were all like a puzzle fit perfectly together. It made my mind run wild. I had to read the second book. I went through that like a person going after 1 billion dollars. It was so amazing. The third book was next. That was better than the first and second books. Finally the forth. Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. That was the best of all. My favorite character is Ron. He reminds me of me. All except the looks. I look a lot better than him. This book is filled with creativity, mystery, fantasy, and love. All in one. Thats why I got hooked on all these things.

Then, Harry and the Weasley's go to the train station. Then they say goodbye to everyonne and get on the bus. They meet their new teacher and their best (not) friend, Malfred. Their is a special game instead of quidditch this year and only people over 18 years of age can enter to win. Three schools are coming to play but only 3 people, one from each school, can play. Harry plays. But he's not 18 so a lot of people get mad. I won't tell you what else happens, so get the book and read it!

I gave this a 5 'cause this is a grat book and it lets out your imagination!
