Anatomy coloring book is an excellent addition to a textbook to study anatomy and physiology.
Besides the coloring drawings it is known for, this book offers great descriptions confined to just a couple of paragraphs. This allows for an overview, and better compartmentalization as you receive more information from 1000+ page textbook.
I found reading the overview, then using the coloring and quizzing yourself on the overall structure, the best approach. Afterward, as you go into a textbook, you will better organize information in your mind.
There is a variety of coloring books available. They overlap somewhat but have their own areas of expertise. This particular one was my favorite for A&P.

I used this book when I was a pre-med student and I recently purchased a copy for my son to help him learn the bones in the human body for a junior high anatomy exam.
The Anatomy Coloring Book is an outstanding instructional tool because it combines two types of learning. Students read about the function of the parts of the body while also learning the names of that part and everything around it. The act of coloring the items reinforces the learning.
This book is as much an instructional resource as it is art, and it makes learning anatomy much, much easier for people who learn best by studying things visually.

This coloring book is really sweet. Each page shoes a pivotal scene in the movie(s). The pages can suit a variety of ranges in experience. Even I've got back into the act of coloring (says the 34 year old).
My one gripe with this particular coloring book is that you walk away asking yourself if there are any places where you can by just the pink and blue crayons.

I'm really enjoying this coloring book. What was so extremely helpful were the customer images provided that previewed what the mandalas look like and what they can look like. That particular customer also suggested using Prismacolor 4-in-1 markers, which are great for smaller areas as well as large. The markers are a bit pricey (about $3 per marker) but go on so nice and look so professional. I'm really getting my money's worth in sheer enjoyment and pleasure with the "finished product."

This is one of the best coloring books I have ever owned. I ordered two other mandala coloring books, but this one seems to be my favorite. The only problems I have with it is that the mandalas are printed on both sides of the page. The other two books are printed on one side, which helps prevent some color leakage, since I use markers over colored pencils. The other issue I have is that some of the designs do seem repetitive, but still all in all it's a great book.

I brought this book and a few similar ones on vacation and my daughter and I had a great time coloring them. I had made copies before we left home so we'd have the originals for the future. My daughter likes to use colored pencils and I like to use the fine tip markers. What beautiful works of art we created. We also picked up the Dover Decorative Tiles book (easier for older children/adults since the patterns are more intricate) and Dover Pinwheel Designs book which is more geometric patterns. You can share hours of fun with your children with these books.

This is a nice, thick book, so your child will not run out of pages any time soon.
Our one son received this book, our other son got the big, fat Scooby Doo one that Amazon offers. (See my other reviews.) Both are equally good, very well-received. I would recommend them both.
This would make a great gift (along with crayons or books) for your child to give a friend. I recommend picking up a few of the fat coloring books while Amazon has them on their 4-for-3 promotion. You can't really go wrong with the price or the appeal.

This is a great book for everyone, not only kids, to color and enjoy. At the top of each page is a line describing what is going on in the picture. That is very insightful for children as well as adults who may not remember everything that happened in the movie. The images are wonderful. There are pages that don't require many colors and then there are other pages where there are more items on the page. In the section for the movie "Cars", the cars are turned sideways so they can fit on the page which is great if only one person is coloring in the book at that time but a little difficult if more than one person is coloring. But the great thing for that is the pages are easily taken out of the book by the "tear and share" line.
Lots of pages, lots of choices, overall a great coloring book.

We have four children in our home (ages 3-13). One of the things we enjoy participating in, as a whole family, is coloring. This Ultimate Movie Mix coloring book is fantastic. With the exception of Finding Nemo, the rest of the characters looked exactly as they did in the films. My three year old sun has been jazzed about the CARS chapter and we had to start copying the pages. It's obvious that this book was done well and gives a nod to the tweener group who are drawing away from this past time.

I purchased two of these books. One was for my two-year-old and I knew that the book would be too difficult for him. My other son is four and does well with coloring. Although he falls in the recommended age range, many pictures in this book are too intricate for him to color well.
Overall though, I am still giving this four stars. The book is thick. It is entertaining. The pictures are of characters the children know and the non-coloring activity pages are age appropriate.

This is definitely an adult coloring book due to the intricate designs on nearly every decorative tile image. The beauty that comes from each one has given me great delight. Unfortunately the images are printed back-to-back, but if you use good quality colored pencils, this really isn't a problem. I liken some of the images to the beauty and complexity of high-end Persian rugs; however the patterns do not restrict themselves to that style. A few have a Celtic theme, some geometric, a few are similar to floral-themed stained glass designs, and at least one that strikes me as having an Oriental flair. So there are designs for everyone in this book and one can spend many enjoyable hours making the designs "pop" by adding color to the "tiles."

This book has many beautiful and intricate designs. The only problem I have is that the designs are on both side of the page. If you decide to display your work, you have to decide which side. Also when using markers to color tiny spaces, the color bled through. So try not to let the marker stay to long in one place.
Overall, I like the book. I only wish the designs had their own page.

I got this for my granddaughter, but when I showed it to my daughter she wanted one for herself. When I showed my mom, she wanted to color in it. We are all looking forward to giving it to the 7 year old, then we can color in it too! We will be using colored pencils and I recommend you use them also. This is the kind of coloring book that encourages blending of colors and shading to get a "grown-up" picture. Great for anyone. And I did buy books for the adults as well.
