Product Description The best news of all regarding business success is that nature is neutral. If you do what other successful people do, you will get the results that other successful people get. And if you don't, you won't. It is as simple as that. Some of these laws may seem simplistic or self-evident. Some repeat themselves in different ways in different categories. Don't be fooled into discounting or dismissing them on that account. Great success and mastery in any field always go to those who are brilliant on the basics. As you read, take a few moments with each law and honestly evaluate your own conduct and behavior with regard to that law. One insight or new idea that you did not have before can be all that it takes to change the direction of your life. When you apply The 100 Absolutely Unbreakable Laws of Business Success and you live your business life in harmony with them, you will gain a distinct advantage over those who do not. You will enjoy levels of success and satisfaction you may never have imagined possible. You will accomplish more in a few months or years than many people accomplish in a lifetime! . Product Description Use some of the world's greatest writings- the Torah and other Jewish sacred texts- to achieve incredible business results This books uses real-world business situations as illustrative examples & reveals a four-thousand year-old blueprint for success. Customer reviews Six stars business book by .. Guido Sullam (DENVER, CO) I've read many business books, hundreds, being a CPA with two Masters, in economics and in business, and over 25 years of business experience. Most business books are based on a simple concept, like "loyalty", "quality", "focus", that the author repeats over and over again, like a mantra, as if just one idea were enough to succeed in business. Useless to say, business life is more complex.
This book: "Jewish wisdom for Business success" instead, is unusually rich and varied in content.
Each chapter deals with a different but important business issues, as can be seen from the title of its chapters: "Making the sale: negotiating techniques from the Torah" or "The humble path: :taking ego out of the entrepreneur".
Each chapter takes examples from the Bible and the business world, draws conclusions and offers also several meditation points.
The chapter that I preferred is probably:" Dealing with failure: handling failure to secure future success".
In this chapter, I found the idea of repentance, applied to business failure. This idea should be in the mind of every businessman, starting from the CEOs of Wall Street and Detroit and certainly in mine.
I also liked the idea that, to be successful, you have to combine passion and pleasure, and follow your Authentic Will (in the chapter:" Nothing stands before the Will: Harnessing willpower to succeed in Business").
I strongly recommend to read, study this book and meditate on its lessons.
This is the best business advice book ever by .. Ronny Karpinman (New York City) I don't say that lightly. I have read many business advice books and this tops them all. What you find in this book are nine pivotal lessons and wisdom teachings that are applicable to both business and life. What others authors might spend an entire book on are presented in this book in an engaging and concise manner in one chapter. In this sense you are getting nine books in one.
This book is heavily based on the Old Testament and uses stories from Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Pharaoh to teach important business lessons.
The premise of the book is that the Old Testament is a repository of timeless wisdom and Jewish people have made use of that wisdom throughout the ages leading to their success in business and other areas. The authors of Jewish Wisdom for Business Success decipher that wisdom and share it with the readers in an engaging and practical manner.
Each wisdom teaching is followed by an interesting and relevant contemporary business story and then two pearls of wisdom that the authors entitle "insight for business" followed by an equally pertinent "wisdom for life" which shows how the same lesson can be used to improve the readers personal life.
The book starts off with lesson about how to overcome fear using the story of the Israelites at the Sea of Reeds being chased by the Egyptian army. The lessons from that chapter, as well as from all the other chapters in the book, are extremely relevant and timely as the current financial crisis unfolds.
The next chapter talks about the importance of finding one's authentic inner will power and gives important pointers how to find it. This chapter will really help the reader in a concrete manner find their unique niche in life and work.
Chapter three deals with humility and business and gives a refreshing take on the concept of ego and humility offering four models of ego.
Chapter four deals with the need to balance one's management style both in business and in life. Chapter five gives the reader invaluable tips for negotiating--one of the best chapters on the subject I have ever read.
Chapter six deals with the all important concept of failure and gives concrete steps how to avoid failure including a regular "audit of the soul" and maintains that when seen from the proper perspective their really in no such things as failure.
Chapter seven stakes out three models of entrepreneurship and offers its own unique concept of an especially fulfilling manner of doing business that it coins "spiritual entrepreneurship." Immense wisdom for how to view the money making process.
Chapter eight gives an impressive overview of the power of attraction and how it works. In this chapter you get "The Secret," "Think and Grow Rich" and numerous other Power of Attraction books in one.
The final chapter deals with the importance of having an intellectual emotional balance in one's life and business dealings.
Each chapter ends with a meditation and a guide how to use the meditations is also provided at the back of the book.
This book is packed full with great advice and wisdom packaged in an interesting an engaging manner. I give it a full five stars because there aren't six stars available.
Jewish Wisdom for Business Success by .. Louis B. Kravitz (New York) The book is an wonderful exchange of commercial realities with spiritual ideals. It has not been written solely for Jewish people, but for any one that believes the ethics and guidance of the Torah should be evident in all aspects of life.
The book is extremely important with respect to the current financial crisis. It condemns greed, promotes charity and gives a clear vision about living a fruitful life. It also explains that success is rarely based on a financial scale, but on a humanistic barometer.
I would highly recommend this book to improve one's business decisions and personal life.
Sincerely,
LK, Westcliffe, CO

Product Description For more than 30 years, author, consultant, speaker, and entrepreneur Dan Kennedy has dished out no-nonsense advice, bases on his own experience, to achieve business and sales success. He regularly get "millionaire-maker" results for satisfied clients in hundreds of professions and industries. His bestselling books include How to Make Millions with Your Ideas. Dan Kennedy offers readers frank advice for building a business and getting highly compensated in the process. Entrepreneurs can increase opportunities to succeed by using his four positioning strategies, 25 eternal business truths, and five keys to multiply cash flow, plus advice on people, sales, productivity, getting out of trouble, and achieving financial independence. Customer reviews Same thing over and over again. by .. J. Whyte () If you own one Kennedy book, you own them all (other than Marketing to the Affluent).
"You get power by deciding to have power" by .. Mike (San Jose, CA) That's the closing sentence from Chapter 1, "The Decision and Determination to Succeed." Dan Kennedy is a unique star in the sales, marketing, and self-promotion galaxy. Unlike peers such as Joe Vitale, who will mix equal portions of cross-selling all of his other products and services to you with some kind of hoodoo soup that will leave you scratching your head and asking "HUH?", Dan cross-sells all of his other products and services to you while simultaneously delivering pragmatic, real world wisdom and "street smarts" that you can actually put into play right now. Success is an attitude, baby. Change your thinking, change your life.
The single factor that determines whether or not Dan has produced a one, two, three, four, or five-star book is the balance between those extremes. Make no mistake about it..."No B.S. Business Success" is jam-packed with "irresistible offers" to buy more Dan Kennedy product, as well as ringing endorsements and testimonials about Dan written by...well, Dan. He's a marketing guy. A marketing guy who can't promote himself effectively can't promote his clients, either. The secret is that when they are patting themselves on the back, they need to make sure that they don't pat so hard that they end up dislocating something. Sometimes Dan walks right up to that line and knows when enough is enough. Other times he gleefully dances across the line and proclaims "Look at MEEEEEEEE..." That's why some reviewers of his books make comments like "I just paid ten bucks for an infomercial." Yes, they're right. But what else did you get WITH the infomercial? Was it the main course or the side dish? Dan's NEVER going to write a book in which he humbly takes himself out of the equation. NEVER. So don't get hung up on that. Or, knowing what you know, don't buy his books if that might be an issue for you.
He stays on the right side of the line in this book. Yes, the almost 300 pages of "No B.S. Business Success" might have been better served with a little less about Dan and a little more about everyone and everything other than Dan, but he's a leopard who's not about to change his spots.
It's a book that encourages you to stop making excuses, to stop seeking approval, to stop going to that job you hate more than a root canal. It's not for the weak or faint-hearted. As Kennedy points out, some people are better equipped to get in the car, sit in morning traffic, take up space for eight to ten hours in their cubicle, and come home so that they can have dinner, watch tv, and get up and do it all over again the next day.
I'm not one of those people, and you probably aren't either of you're reading these reviews. Speed-read through Dan's infomercials and focus on the meat of what he's offering here. It's a well-spent ten bucks.
Don't sell this book short, it can make you millions! by .. Bernie L. Malonson (Tucson, AZ) Whether you are a long-time fan of Dan Kennedy, or just discovering his work, you are in for a wild entrepreneurial ride. Kennedy is a working direct response marketer and copywriter working on the "front-lines" of capitalism.
The book falls into what I would call the non-traditional business category. It is not based on academic theory, rather on the real life experiences of one who has managed, bought and sold businesses to the tunes of millions of dollars.
You will learn-
- Positioning Yourself and Your Business For Success
- How Entrepreneurs Really Make Money
- How To Create Sales And Marketing Breakthroughs
- Why And How To Sell Your Way Through Life
and much, much more.
You could take a few years to get an MBA, but you also need to get a "street-smart" education from the school of "hard-knocks-capitalism".
Highly recommended.
Dan Kennedy tells it straight in this book! by .. Larry R. Lane (Manhattan) This book serves as a "not to be missed" foundation for anyone that wants to fine tune their business and stop floundering about with no direction. Our office would not have been able to think out of the box and have our own radio show every Monday at 5:30 PM EST (found at www.blogtalkradio.com/LaneArchitecture)without information that we were able to glean from books like this one. We welcome Dan Kennedy, the author, to call in as a guest on our show by dialing 646-595-2228.

Dan Kennedy is a genious, there is no doubt by .. Rolands Petrevics (Taiwan) But, I am really not sure, that his harsh (sometimes) is acceptable to everyone.
I do not want go deep in what he says, but if you are already in business, then you will just read the book, and time after time shout out phrases like " Yeah, right!!" " Haaaa, yes not only me noticed that!!" "Hey, he was there, and he knows what he says". and so on and so on
There is IDEAS in the book. Really there is not typical bla bla "think outside of the box" business book.
Kennedy shares ideas, insights and gives a volume. This book is far more worth than 10 USD. You must have it, if you think for a business.

It provides new vision and useful practical applications, helping women and men in the workplace become more effective and fulfilled, and ultimately helping businesses and business leaders realize increased profits. Through examples and case studies from companies like Kodak, Nike, Nintendo, Home Depot, Proctor & Gamble, Avon, and Disney, the book shows readers how ignoring gender diversity actually impedes the true potential of any business. Corps, Orgs and Execs Will Lose If Don't Read by .. Kevin () Gender has become such an important topic in companies and organizations that senior leaders and line executives will lose effectiveness if they don't have the latest scientific brain research straightforwardly described in this book.
Most valuable, this book also includes some practical, easy to use tools and approaches that I applied in my work (and home) -- immediately.
From Michael Gurian we finally have a serious, business-oriented, fact-based, value/politics free knowledgebase and resources for moving to the next generation of gender effectiveness and mobilizing the special skills and capabilities of women and men.
So much of the current "gender diversity" approaches and rhetoric, presentations and training programs are based on feel-good ideology and anecdotes. For example, trying to make guys more like women or women less "aggressive." I've been involved in a lot of these and everybody's eyes just glaze over now.
I've been buying this book for my friends and it has made a difference in their work right away.
Thanks for the Insights by .. Ivy Richardson (USA) Finally, a practical book about how to work best with the opposite sex--at work! Michael Gurian brings his best thinking about gender differences and the brain to the corporate conference room. This book is full of insights about how and why men and women "work differently," and it is chock full of ideas about how individual leaders, managers--as well as the teams they lead--can understand these differences and use them to grow bigger, better, more effective organizations.
LEADERSHIP AND THE SEXES is a new classic. by .. Dakota Thompson () It goes far beyond the Mars/Venus approach to gender because it links men and women to science. It's highly readable, and yet it goes deep into who we are and what makes us tick. I'm a Human Resources Specialist, and I'm very glad to have this book for my team.
Most Important Business Book Of The Decade by .. Reader from Long Island (New York) Oh, how this book has already changed the way we do business -- from listening to clients to negotiating with potential clients -- we have embraced and incorporated the many lessons Michael Gurian and Barbara Annis have to teach (we were extremely lucky to get an advance reading copy so have a two month jump on our competition). Michael's parenting books have always described my son, and helped me so tremendously with his learning issues. But this crossover into the corporate world is pure genius. From every budding entrepreneur to every CEO, from the smallest local businesses to the largest global conglomerate, every one in business needs to read this book.

Product Description Many small business owners don’t understand the importance of maintaining a healthy cash flow. More than anything else, cash flow determines the success or failure of a small business. Small Business Cash Flow covers all the basics of cash flow, from selecting a great accountant, to keeping money flowing in and out of the business, to budgeting and record-keeping. Customer reviews Understanding Cash Flow, A Critical Business Skill by .. Caroline Jordan (Maine) As a consultant who focuses on small business cash flow, I see many businesses struggling with cash flow issues. Most often, the underlying problem is a lack of understanding about the critical importance of cash flow for small businesses. As many business owners soon find out Profit and Cash Flow are very different creatures.
Denise O'Berry, who I first met through her popular MYOB forum, has a depth of knowledge regarding small businesses that is based on practical experience. She is not a consultant who lives in an ivory tower, but a small business owner who understands the day-to-day challenges of running a business. Her experience helping other businesses makes her a great resource for other small business owners.
This book is very practical, contains no accounting or business theory, it is perfectly suited for the small business owner looking to understand and manage cash flow. In these tight economic times, there is no more critical business skill than managing cash flow. This book is a great place to start!
Excellent Reference for small business by .. Marcela V. De Garza (Mexico) The book has a lot of tips that you can use for your small business

Cathy Stucker (Sugar Land, TX USA) Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R37P2EOUCCSEHN This is not just a guide to managing your money. Denise O'Berry tells you what you need to know to make--and keep--more money from your small business.

If you have a small business or you are thinking about starting one, this book belongs on your shelf.

More Than Cash Flow by .. Baran Kaya (Ankara, Turkey) This book is very useful for small companies. It gives knowledge about many subjects which can effect cash flow. I advise this book to all people doing small business. However if you want detailed knowledge only about cash flow this book is not for you
Small Business Cash Flow is a home-run by .. Kevin Stirtz (Burnsville, MN, USA) Denise O'Berry has scored! With Small Business Cash Flow she hits a home run. I say this because books about cash flow and accounting hold little interest for me, generally speaking. But I can't say that about this book. Denise has done a great job of making this important topic accessible and even fun. She covers it like it should be covered, from a holistic perspective. She even talks devotes a chapter to marketing!
One of my favorite lines in this book: "It's all about Action".
Denise reminds that all the planning in the world goes nowhere without action to follow it. She offers a variety of checklists, worksheets and other useful resources.
She starts the book with a priceless chapter on how to pick your accountant. I love this because she goes into detail with specific suggestions on how to find, interview and evaluate an accountant to make sure they'll be a good fit for you and your business.
Other good stuff from this book: "Document your processes".
As a consultant who helps clients do this, I'm thrilled Denise includes this in her book. Too many small businesses never document how they do what they do. Without this it's hard to build the foundation you need to grow your business and make it sustainable.
I am happy to recommend this book to my clients and friends. I think it would be a useful read for anyone who owns, manages or is thinking about starting a small business. Well done Denise!

OK...But...A ***LOT*** of FLUFF! by .. Thelma Williams () Not a bad book. It had some interesting pointers...BUT...as the title suggests... A LOT OF FLUFF!!!
It's not bad for the price (I URGE you to get a cheap USED copy)... but the same author has a MUCH stronger book called "Networking Smart". Very Good!
I gave this one star for the content... what was there, anyway.
The real scoop on "networking" by .. Don Steiny (Santa Cruz, CA USA) There are numerous books on "networking," with titles like "how to work a room." The theme is to get lots of names of people that you can call when you want to sell them something. Wayne Baker is a respected researcher of social networks. This book gives a step-by-step method of analyzing one's own social networks and through them, learning more about oneself. These social networks are not groups of people that you socialize with, but rather the core people that make up your life, your family, your co-workers and others. Having diverse social networks is a good indicator of many metrics of success and happiness. People with diverse social networks make more money, get promoted faster, ... they even get fewer colds. But how diverse is your social network? How can you improve it? This book shows how to figure it out and teaches about social networks while doing it.
In like a lion out like a lamb by .. P. Wood (Houston, TX) After an interesting and thoughtful start in Chapter 1 - I found the rest of this work to be very light and not very useful. "Potential" Means "You Ain't Done It Yet" by .. Robert Morris (Dallas, Texas) This volume is one in the University of Michigan Business School Management Series. As Baker explains in the Executive Summary, "This book guides you through the process of evaluating, building, and using social capital." With precision and eloquence, Baker focuses on HOW to take full advantage of what he calls "hidden resources" in both personal and business networks. For example, in ideas, leads, business opportunities, financial capital, power and influence, emotional support, even goodwill, trust, and cooperation. Social capital consists of who you know, who knows you, and shared opportunities for you and them to derive mutual benefit. "The goal of building social capital as an organizational competence is the same as building it as an individual competence -- to increase the ability to achieve goals, fulfill missions, and make positive contributions to the world." Throughout the book's five chapters, Baker answers questions such as these: * What is social capital? * Why can it be so important to you? * How to measure and evaluate your social capital? * What are the most effective strategies for building entrepreneurial networks? (Baker suggests 30.) * How to derive greatest benefit from your own social capital? * How to build social capital as a competence within your organization? If you seek answers to questions such as these, this book is "must reading."

It's different and easy to use. Sometimes when I'm having a problem....I just pick this up and see if my problem is in here and I do what the book says.....This is a really good book to have.
Practical & spiritual by .. Antigone Walsh () This wonderful little book demonstrates how to integrate the spiritual principles of yoga into the challenges of the business world. Exercises featuring mudras (hand positions) and mantras or chants designed to address specific challenges including anger, self-esteem, stress and prosperity are presented with photographs and detailed instructions. The exercises do not require tremendous flexibility or athletic prowess--you do not have to become a human pretzel to master them. They are effective and fun and not terribly time-consuming unless one wishes to make a discipline. I appreciated the beautiful photographs that are featured throughout the book. They are both calming and exhilerating.
My quibbles are few. First is the size of the book. Although it is compact and therefore easy to slip into a briefcase or handbag, it is difficult to prop open without damaging the binding--something that is necessary when learning some of the exercises. At times it is dificult to see the mudra being demonstrated by the model in the photograph with the actual exercise and it becomes necessary to consult the mudra section in the back. And finally, this is one of those books that would benefit by including a CD of the mantas. This would assist in correct pronunciation and mastering the melody.
I strongly recommend this book both for its efficacy and for making yoga easily accessible in a stress filled forum.
Simple work, fast results by .. David Rain (Oklahoma) This excellent book is unlike any other yoga book I've seen (and I've read dozens and looked at probably hundreds). The focus is on simple hand postures (mudras) combined with breath and chanting to create fast results. The hand gestures are said to open and or balance the body's energy channels to enhance particular personal qualities, such as awareness, relaxation, happiness, cooperation, etc. One drawback is that the chants are in Sanskrit and feel awkward to this westerner's mouth. They don't sound or feel natural and only a few of them seem accessible enough to actually use. Nevertheless, there's obvious value in them -- when I chant the syllable "Ma," it vibrates and opens my heart, just as the author says it does. I find myself using the book nightly for 20 to 30 minutes, doing several of the postures and meditations, but only a few of the chants. With practice I'm increasing the time I spend with individual postures, but even doing them for a few minutes each makes me feel better. The posture for happiness definitely works. After holding the position for only a few minutes I can feel my mood becoming light and full of joy and humor. I borrowed this book from the library and liked it so much I bought a copy because I want to spend a lot more time with it.
Quickly Accessible Stress and Life Solutions by .. Danuta (Kirn Kaur) (Toronto, ON Canada) This book is not only clearly and concisely written with powerful, fast acting information, but also stunning to look at. The quality of the paper and beauty of the images make reading Yoga Secrets for Business Success a meditation in itself. It's like owning many yoga manuals and an art book all in one. I'm a certified yoga teacher, and I particularly appreciate the excellent organization of material, precise times given for each exercise, and the highlighted benefits. The photographs are easy to follow, and the results profound. I highly recommend Yoga Secrets to both beginners and advanced students alike. Well done Darshan Singh Khalsa! When is the next one coming out?

The stress of traveling can wear on my body, but this book offers secret tips and exercises to keep me healthy and energized while I am away from home. Game Theory For Work AND non-Work Situations by .. Matthew L. Sadler (San Francisco Bay Area) If you like "game theory" -- or want to know what game theory is -- this could be the best book out there. Certainly there are more scholarly pieces on game theory, but this book is an A+ for its accessible writing, its use of examples that are interesting and a clear approach to point out how game theory comes into play every day for every person, whether we realize it or not. This book helps you understand the decision process in cooperative and competitive situations. It is better to know the "game" and how it is being played, than having the game played on you unwittingly. Highly recommended.
Also highly recommended, but more specifically for business applications, is Co-opetition, co-authored by Barry Nalebuff who is a co-author of The Art of Strategy.
A Great Success by .. George Michas () "What do I do when I reach the top of the mountain?" the young man asked the master.
"Keep on climbing," replied the master.
Dixit and Nalebuff got to the top of the mountain with the first edition of this book in 1991. They have continued to climb the last 17 years.
I know of no higher praise.

Viva (Phildadelphia, PA USA) I just finished reading "9 Elements of Family Business". I must congratulate the author on a well written book that provides much insight into what family businesses are and the pitfalls that family business owners and members must watch out for. I like the explanations by actual real-life examples used throughout, because it teaches in language people can understand easier, rather than by theory.
As a former owner of multiple family businesses that has rejoiced and suffered from the pros and cons of family issues in business, I venture to say that it should be made required reading by anybody forming a family business.
Very informative and practical information by .. Robyn Weilbacher (St. Louis, MO) I found Allen E. Fishman's book to be extremely informative and beneficial even to a "non-family business" person. Allen provided detailed and practical information that any person could benefit from. I think what makes his book different from other authors is how he effectively related his "own family" personal experiences to help the reader visualize his thoughts. This is definitely a book that I will use as a frequent reference and recommend to colleagues and family members.

Non Family Member Employees Take Notice! by .. Lynn Adler (McCall, ID) I didn't read this book to address my needs as a family business owner or a family member employee. Instead, as someone who has often worked as a non-family member employee in a family business, I wanted to better understand exactly what goes on---and why. My first job at age 15 was for a family-owned restaurant. I loved the job, but even back then I felt confused, and yes, annoyed, by dynamics I found unfair to those of us not "in the family." And that confusion (and annoyance) has followed me every time I worked for a family-owned business.
I finally get it! And if this book had been around 30 years ago when I was 15, and I had been smart enough to read it, my future working life would have been a lot different--- and my blood pressure would have faced far fewer challenges.
I love the close knit feeling a family company provides. But sometimes stuff goes on that makes no sense; at least not to me. Like when a family member gets promoted to a position I don't think he or she has the experience to carry, compensation issues, and being pushed and pulled by the conflicting pressures of bosses that also happen to be a husband and wife, siblings, cousins, whatever the relationship. This book hits on all these scenarios and more.
I truly believe that tolerance for issues that challenge me comes from understanding. Allen Fishman's book has given me the understanding I need to push these issues aside. I may not like every single thing that goes on in a family business, but now that I know why it happens, I don't have to waste any more time thinking about it. Allen speaks in real terms that everyone can understand, and he doesn't dodge the tough issues; he calls the shots just as they are, even when they aren't pretty. And that's impressive coming from someone who is a family business owner himself. And how cool that Allen credits his daughter for her help in writing the book; talk about authenticity!
Any one who works for a family business, who isn't part of the family, needs to read this book. And family business leaders, or FBL's as they are called in the book, listen up--- get a couple copies of this book and spread it around to your Non FME's. Encourage them to read it, and then talk to them about any questions they might have. I promise, you'll get a more productive- and happier- non family workforce for making the effort.
Dealing with Family Business Reality by .. John F. Dini (San Antonio, TX USA) Family businesses are a special challenge. Allen begins with reality; that parents, children and siblings will never cease to interact in those roles, and that the functions of the business must accommodate that reality. He then gives us a step by step look at how to make the added complexities of family ownership, authority and responsibility work together in a successful enterprise.
