Product Description There's nothing like a Little Golden Book--and everyone's favorites can be found in this deluxe, affordable compilation. Beautifully bound, this volume of bedtime stories features such unforgettable stories as The Poky Little Puppy, The Sleepy Book, and Good Night, Little Bear in their entirety . . . as well as some new favorites, too! Customer reviews Beautiful not-so-little golden book by .. T. Fitzgibbon (Australia) I originally expected this collection to come just a series of regular golden books, but i was pleasantly surprised to find it as a single higher quality book with golden edged glossy pages. Due to the paper, all the images look brighter and fresher too.
My daughter loves this book, and her current favourites are The Color Kittens and Good Night Little Bear. Highly recommended!
check out your collection titles carefully by .. J. Gager (Houston.TX) I didn't like all the stories chosen for this collection. In this case I would rather have chosen individual books. I didn't really pay attention to the titles ahead of time.
A Beautiful Collection by .. Alanna Evans () I bought this for my daughter and this is a real steal. You get twelve stories from the Little Golden Book collection. The best ones are the oldie but goodies like "I Can Fly", "The Color Kittens" and "The Wonderful House". The newer stories have hideous artwork with no charm whatsoever... its worth it for the classic stories as the pages are big and colorful, nothing is omitted and the paper is a heavy keepsake type. Not thin/flimsy at all. Highly recommended.
Well loved classics by .. K. Klein (Germany) These are the stories that my Mom read to me as a little girl and I can't wait to read them to my children as well. The books are very nice and sturdy, great for years of cuddles with your children. The illustrations are just like the originals but bigger than the small golden books. Your kids will love them!
wonderful collection - buy these books for your children! by .. Mom of four (Florida, USA) This book and the other collections (farm tales, animal tales) are very well done! They are much more enjoyable to read than the "treasury" collections of little golden books which condense the stories, leaving out parts and omitting many of the illustrations. In these books the stories are complete, the pages are glossy, and the illustrations are bright and colorful. My children are able to enjoy reading the old Golden Books that are no longer available individually. We especially love the illustrations by Eloise Wilkin!

Customer reviews great gift by .. Teresa M. Burns (Tucson AZ) This was a great gift for a 2yo he loves to pick out a new book each time
Great early readers by .. Dog Walker (San Diego, CA) I love these sets -- the size is perfect for little hands and the stories are engaging. We now have several sets and my baby loves all of the books. I didn't think he'd like all of them, but he does.
A classic! by .. R. Moore () A classic and must-have for every child's book collection. Golden Books are so fun, and this is a great set to get started with.
Just like I remember! (Only without my crayon scribbles in them.) by .. K. Nikki (Oregon, USA) The same books I read as a child. These are the classics, so of course they are old fashioned! My 2 1/2 year old loves them and asks us to read them every night. I think she loves most when we tell her these were Mommy and Daddy's favourite books when we were little. Set includes a blank book to write your own story as well.
nice set of books by .. Denise10s (Reston, VA United States) I bought this for my friend's kid. My friend really liked it (and so did her kid).

Customer reviews Nice Value by .. D. Bailey (HI USA) Purchased for a child for Christmas. She is just learning to read and I know she will love them. They were a great value. My only worry is that they seem to be more poorly put together then singles I have bought and might come apart after little use. Very nice set of books otherwise.
Golden Books by .. Anna Marie Mincey () A wonderful childhood memory. All the favorites are included. I am looking forward to reading them to my child.
Good Selection, poor craftmanship by .. D. Battagliola (Brooklyn, NY) I have gotten NUMEROUS paper and cardboard cuts from the actual books, which means your child can't really hold the book themselves because the edges are very sharp.
Good story selection though and I was happy they came in a small box to put them in her library all together.
golden books by .. A. Robidoux (PA, USA) Bought these as a gift for a baby shower. They bring back memories from my childhood, so what a great idea to pass them along to the next generation. These are wonderful books and the pack makes a great shower present.
Product as advertised by .. J. Stone (Huntsvegas, AL) We recieved the books within the specified timeframe. They arrived new as advertised. Overall, we had a good purchasing experience & will do business with seller again.

Product Description Nine timeless Golden animal tales come together in one deluxe, affordable compilation. This volume of cherished stories has 224 gilded pages, beautifully bound with the famous golden spine. This wonderful collection includes such classics as The Saggy Baggy Elephant, Mister Dog, and Tawny Scrawny Lion . . . and many more Customer reviews Excellent! by .. scolvig (Humboldt County, CA USA) I bought this for my 2 young grandsons. Their parents and I enjoy it as much as the little ones do. My favorite story is "The Kitten Who Thought He Was a Mouse" The Garth Williams illustrations are exactly as I remembered them as a child myself, and when I was reading it to my daughter. And it's such a great story about accepting those who are different. And then there's the "Sagggy Baggy elephant", the "Tawny Scrawny Lion", and several others. The book is nicely bound also. When Amazon first sent it to me, it was loose in a big box with other heavy merchandise, and suffered some damage from a large bent corner. Amazon quickly replaced it. I just traveled with my 2 little grandsons and this book. It gets read to them every day, and I didn't notice any noticible damage to this much loved book.
Good Old stories every kid needs to love by .. Gwynne C. Spencer (Monmouth, Oregon) Little Golden Books were a huge part of shaping the American Dream. Kids of new generations will love this gold-edged volume that contains Saggy Baggy Elephant, Kitten Who Thought He Was A Mouse, How the Leopard Got His Spots, Mister Dog, Animal Orchestra, The Lion's Pa, Baby Animals (by Garth Williams), The Golden Egg Book, Animal Friends (illus by Garth Williams), The Big Brown Bear, Home for a Bunny, How the Camel Got Its Hump and the Tawny Scrawny Lion. All the original illustrations are included and the colors havebeen restored to their original brightness (ah, the joys of digital restoration). The size is nice for bedtime or tucking into the car for reading while you wait, always a great way to wait!
An ideal anthology for reading aloud to young people by .. Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) Animal Tales is an omnibus collection of nine classic "Little Golden Book" stories featuring wonderful animal characters. The oft-beloved tales included are "The Saggy Baggy Elephant", "The Kitten Who Thought He Was a Mouse", "How the Leopard Got Its Spots", "Mister Dog", "Animal Friends", "The Big Brown Bear", "Home for a Bunny", "How the Camel Got Its Hump", and "Tawny Scrawny Lion". Printed with a durable hardcover binding, gold-edged pages, and the charming full color illustrations, Animal Tales is an ideal anthology for reading aloud to young people at storytime or bedtime, or for budding young readers learning to sound out picutrebooks on their own. Highly recommended.
Better than the originals! by .. Steven Nordstrom (Nashville, TN USA) You grew up on the Little Golden Books; now you can pass those stories along to your children with this great series. Printed on high-quality paper with gilt edges in a hardbound edition that's sure to last for ages, its surprising how affordable the books in the Little Golden Book Treasury series are. Each has more than 300 pages, and contains numerous stories such as Scuffy the Tugboat, The Poky Little Puppy, Tawny Scrawny Lion, The Saggy Baggy Elephant. Pages are larger and more colorful than the original Little Golden Books. My kids love them!
Beautiful book, great stories by .. K. Kuncl (Nebraska) Love it. It is a beautiful book filled with great bedtime stories.

Parents can share the joy of introducing young children to many timeless favorites that have already enchanted millions of readers. This volume offers a wonder-filled opportunity for preschoolers and families to own and share "the best of the best." All royalties for HarperCollins Treasury of Picture Book Classics: A Child's First Collection will be donated to First Book, a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to give children from low-income families the opportunity to read and own their own new books. The primary goal of First Book is to work with existing literacy programs to distribute new books to children who, for economic reasons, have little or no access to books. In this way, First Book effectively leverages the heroic efforts of local tutoring, mentoring, and family literacy organizations as they work to reach children who need help the most. First Book distributes millions of books to hundreds of thousands of children nationwide each year. Customer reviews HEAVY but worthwhile! by .. S. Jorgenson (WI) Yes, this book IS heavy! But my tiny 2 year old loves it so much that she lugs it off the shelf and hauls it on the couch for us to read. That's 5 stars in her book. My 4 and 6 year old love to flip through and choose numerous stories for us to read - they enjoy this book also. I am glad it's in our children's book collection.
Great book! by .. E. Doty () I bought this book for my 4-year-old granddaughter and within the first week we had read through it completely and at least half of it twice. It's a great compilation of top-notch classic picture books and in a quality presentation. It's a little too heavy for a child to cart around with him or her, but should be a favorite at story time. All the books inside are full sized with reprinted original illustrations.
FIVE Stars to the Nth Degree from a tough critic by .. Hugo & Grace (Costa Mesa, CA United States) Publisher Harper Collins really lives up to its name. I was so impressed with the carefully chosen picture books they compiled. There were so many children's books and I wanted to find the best ones for my child and I did with this book! There are 12 unabridged books in this book and the picture quality is EXCELLENT. The paper is glossy stock grade and the pictures are just beautiful. Good Night Moon looks much better in this book compared to its individual board book and hardcover versions in this book. Baby Says is another picture book that is mainly a pictorial but was perfect for my infant who was able to comprehend the story. Her reactions were just amazing. There is another picture book out there called "The 20th Century Children's Book Treasury" and it does not compare. A good majority of the books in their book is abridged, the paper quality is like any other and, although the book is large in its dimensions, the pictures were shrunken down quite a bit because they put multiple pictures per page on some stories. In addition, some of their book choices were great but a lot of them weren't unlike Harper Collin's book. They really chose only the best. I only wish they came out with another volume. This book contains two books appropriate for infants, Goodnight Moon and Baby Says. The rest of the books will grow with the child.
Practically sells itself by .. Craig Clarke (New England) This is the kind of book that should sell itself -- a collection of classic children's stories. At a time when going to the children's section of any bookstore can be overwhelming, it's a relief to find something like the Harper Collins Treasury of Picture Book Classics. It takes away all the guesswork by being filled with over a dozen stories that are already tried and true, stories that are proven entertainment to a wide variety of children. And they're all in one book (though it's a heavy sucker, to say the least). The contents are as follows:
Goodnight Moon written by Margaret Wise Brown, illustrated by Clement Hurd
Caps for Sale by Esphyr Slobodkina
Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson
Crictor by Tomi Ungerer
A Baby Sister for Frances written by Russell Hoban, illustrated by Lillian Hoban
Leo the Late Bloomer written by Robert Kraus, illustrated by Jose Aruego
William's Doll written by Charlotte Zolotow, illustrated by William Pène Du Bois
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie written by Laura Joffe Numeroff, illustrated by Felicia Bond
George Shrinks by William Joyce
Baby Says by John Steptoe
From Head to Toe by Eric Carle
Pete's a Pizza by William Steig
In addition to these timeless stories, the Harper Collins Treasury of Picture Book Classics contains short author and illustrator biographies (such as what other books they've done) and useful ideas for sharing the story further with children (like concepts to discuss). And all proceeds from the purchase go to First Book, which donates books to needy families. It's a win-win situation, and not only for you and your children, but for others as well.
GREAT book...for all ages! by .. K. Bishel (Baltimore, MD) This book is a wonderful collection of classic children's stories! Not only will kids love it, but as an adult, it was very nostalgic to flip through and revisit some of my favorite stories as a kid. Who doesn't love "Goodnight Moon" and "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie"?? Just a good time, fun read for everyone. I gave this book as a gift...and I think I may have to purchase another one just to keep for my own personal collection!

Product Description There’s nothing like a Little Golden Book—and everyone’s farm favorites are to be found in this deluxe collection. Beautifully bound, this choice crop of farm tales features such unforgettable stories as The Jolly Barnyard, The Animals of Farmer Jones, and The Shy Little Kitten . . . plus some new favorites, too! A true value from Golden Books. Customer reviews Great Stories...but missing the one I purchased it for. by .. Kelly (Roswell, GA) This is a great collection of stories, and I love the book overall. I am disappointed, however, that the story I purchased it for (The Little Red Hen) is missing. I had searched all over for that story with the original illustrations. One of the reviews mistakenly indicated that it would be included.
Love It! by .. P. Luna (Clearwater, FL) My daughter loves this book. We read to her from it all the time. She has learned the stories over the past few months and will ask for specific stories. She is 21 months now but we bought this book 4 or 5 months ago. She has other Little Golden books and loves all of them too.
Great compilation for the farm-minded preschooler by .. JP (Oakland, CA United States) This is a great compilation of many Golden Book favorites. All of the stories are whimsical and gentle - without being too terribly old-fashioned. A few of the stories are quite similar to one another, but it's still a treat (and a bargain!) for those youngsters that love farms and farm animals.
Stories that hold up to modern times by .. itsjustme (USA) My 22 month old LOVES this book! Some might consider these tales old fashioned, but in this case, that's a good thing. These are stories that teach, inspire, and make children laugh. You really can't go wrong with this collection.

Product Description One fish, two fish, three, four, five . . . This one has a car to drive!
This bouncy counting board book comes with five beads shaped like Seussian fish that toddlers can move across the top of the book as they count along. Based on Dr. Seuss’s celebrated classic, this sturdy board book will be a hit with all the little fish in your family! Customer reviews one fish, two fish, three, four, five fish by .. Della M. Nicholas () Given as a gift but know Dr. Seuss books are wonderful for any age. The counting fish are a fun addition.
Short but sweet by .. S. Long () This book is about 10 pages long and only a few words on every page, but my 16 month year old baby likes it. He also likes that he can play with the fish on top of the book. It still kinda teaches about colors and numbers one to five. A Preschooler would probably get bored with this, but just right for babies.
Another favorite of my 15 month old... by .. D. Gasson (Novato, CA United States) Not much text in it, but my daughter loves this book. Very sturdy and she likes to move the fishes across the top. She wants it read over and over again. I think Dr. Seuss just had a fabulous knack for writing well with fun rhyming.
Wounderful Read! by .. J. Sonnier (N.Little Rock, AR USA) My daughter really loved this book. We challange you to:
See the book, buy the book, read the book, share the book!
You wont regret it
Short & cute by .. Misty Fuentes (Sunny Florida) Although this book is shorter than the orginal, it's still a great book for early readers, or to read to babies

Cake Lady (Tennessee) This cookbook is well worth the money. It has plenty of room for writing out recipes. The only thing I wish it had come with more of were the recipe cards. Will just give us more incentive to put only those recipes we LOVE in it!
Family Recipe Collection Book by .. Vickie D (Wirtz, Va) I ordered this twice and had to return both times for the same reason: the top binder ring did not shut properly and the pages would fall out or get caught up in it easily. Ridiculous, considering the price. Not worth the money, and a huge waste of time for all concerned.
beautiful by .. W. Montreuil (Upstate New York, USA) This is a lovely recipe holder. As others have said, there aren't enough pages, but I plan to scan the blank ones and add them, so it isn't really a problem. The three ring binder set up makes it easy to add additional pages and page sleeves. It is just what I was looking for to make a family recipe binder for my son and his fiancee.
Excellent! by .. Melissa (Ca, USA) The item was shipped in a very short amount of time. And I absolutely love it!! Its a little bit bigger than I thought it would be, about the size of a three ring binder, but I love how many aptions you have to add recipes and other clippings. Will make a great gift!!
Sadly dissappointed by .. Christi M. Yeandle () The book is very nice and colorful, however completely useless for those of us who would like to print recipes off the computer and add them to our cookbooks. The inserts do NOT fit 81/2 by 11 sheets of paper and the refills that you can by do not match the book either...
I do not recommend this book.

Product Description A BATH TIME bloozer for your little noozer. This Seussian bath book complete with squirter—is sure to bring hoorays and a shout: when the whale comes in and he squirts from his spout! Customer reviews great bath book by .. O. Smith (Washington, DC) This is the greatest bath book ever! My son got it for Christmas when he was 7 months old. He is 2.5 years old now and it's still one of his favorite tub items... now he knows the story almost by heart... and he 'reads' it to me during the bath time... "Squirt" is a nice touch, granted it doesn't hold a lot of water but it's enough to make your little one giggle. I'm getting one for my new nice this Christmas :)
Too short by .. Al Sargent (San Francisco, CA United States) This book contains only a few pages of text and is heavily cut down from the original. Also the "squirt" tube on the back page is too big in diameter to squirt water out for more than a split second.
