This is a must have book for anyone that likes self-help or business books. I read it several years ago and felt it was the like the Bible of all self-help books. This is a book you will want to read all the way through and then go back and work on each of the 7 habits individually. Dr. Covey is able to share the information in a practical way that can be applied to our personal life as well as family, business or any other relationships. The first 3 habits are personal and are part of the private victory, the next 3 habits deal with relationships and are part of the public victory. The last habit is self-renewal, the sharpening of the saw. There are so many nuggets of information in this book that you will find useful in your life. The concept of P/PC productivity, interdependency, emotional bank accounts, effective delegation and time management among others are covered in detail here. All the concepts and ideas presented in the book are based on sound principles and you will find that many of them find precedence in wisdom from the Bible. This book is a must-read in personal development and is one of my favorite books.

I highly recommend this product. I took a Photoshop course last summer and walked out more confused than I was when I walked in. This manual addressed every thing that was presented in class and then some.The language is straight forward and not technical,when they use tecnical terms they define them.The many tips they give are great. I enjoy the Dummies series of books. This book has NOT helped. I find myself following the directions and then flipping through the pages to see where that final click takes place. There are too many, 'we will cover that on page #' or go to section __ to find out more about it...I would not buy this book.

Unlike other Dummies books I have (Windows XP and Vista for Dummies), this is more like the manual that should have come with Adobe Photoshop Elements 7. It's not for people that have never used a photographic program before. It assumes you have some knowledge of digital enhancements. That being said, it's a very good manual and it's in color. It's a good desk reference. It's not meant to be read from cover to cover. After reading the first few chapters, you can use as a reference to get you over the hurtles you don't understand, give you some common sense tips, enlighten you on some things you probably didn't know, and give you some helpful short-cuts. All-in-all, a very useful manual to have, and the DVD is great to get you started even before you start and reading. Two thumbs up from me.

Excellent introduction to Elements 7 and just what I've come to expect from this Dummies series. Just got Elements 7 and wanted/needed to get me going and let's see something now. In one-half hour I had my first photo edited. Not a wiz yet but give me another half-hour. Learned the interface, was able to easily follow the instructions. Good clear English and easy reading.

If you already use Photoshop and want to move onto the more advanced aspects of static image editing, then Elements should be used, and this book is [presumably] an official guide to it.
Some sections describe how to import images. Typically from a digital camera or by capturing a subset of frames from digital videos. For the latter, a wide range of common formats is supported, including AVI, MPG, MPEG, WMV, ASF and MLV. Essentially, these are imported easily, so that you don't have to worry about the details of each encoding.
One think you might notice about Elements is that it is more than just editing a given image. Substantial space is devoted to showing how you can make a collection of photos. So that it's not just a grab bag of images. Elements lets you group these into subsets, and view these against backgrounds and in various styles. A very flexible photo album. This framework is impressive and lets you be creative at a level above single imges.

All I can say is Rowling over excelled her writing, and coming from her, thats saying quite a lot! I am not a foaming-mouthed Potter fan, though I like the series. I only just read it last year. I started in Dec '06 and finished when the new book came out. In fact, I read books 4,5,6 and 7 in like one month (For a slow reader like me this took a miracle. Either that or a few slow days at work....heh heh, ah it's the American way....)
Book seven is fantastic. It is far and away the best book in the series. Rowling seals the deal with the most intricate plot, the biggest battles, and the most spectacular surprises. If you haven't read this book by now you probably never will. Either that or you live on Saturn and your Amazon shipment is only now arriving...

Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 is an excellent product. However, it contains almost no documentation and can strain the defination of "user friendly". This book is an essential training & reference guide for the product. Each chapter cover a topic. The pages are in full color, with notations of where to find the item on the screen. Since each screen is reporduced, you have almost no guess work or endless searching.
The topics are presented in a logical sequential manner that works you through the system. This book will alllow you to get the most out of the software. In addition, it allows you to stop when you have what you need for you photo editing.
An index allows you to quickly find a specified action and the format of the books walks you through the steps to do it. The text is both easy to understand without talking down to the user.
This book works both as a training and reference tool. I'm very happy with mind and it helps me get the most out of the product. My suggestion buy them together!

Parents purchase this for your teens, sit in their room, and let them pick it up at their own time. They will thank you for it later. I highly recommend this book to teenagers and individuals who want to make positive changes in their lives.

i am not a teenager any more, it was displayed at my local library. I love to read new books, so i checked it out, i am glad that i did. I didn't want to read his dad's book which were published at least 10 years ago, i want to read something new and fresh.
I haven't finished reading, but it already boosted my confidence. Every adults probably think that they know what to do in order to be successful in their lives. This book is like a personal coach, it taught me something that I have never thought about.
Of course, there are things in this book that are just for teens. Overall, it is a very good book. It can be read more than once just to remind yourself when you are not feeling so sure about yourself.

I'm very happy with this purchase. Sometimes you purchase a technical book only to find it's too superficial and either doesn't address your particular needs and/or just basically reiterates what you can find in the online help. That's not the case with this one -- the author obviously knows his stuff and shares lots of useful information and tips. If you're buying Premiere Elements 7, this is a wonderful companion to it.

Even though I haven't upgraded to Premiere Elements 7 yet, I bought this book on PE7 to see if it would solve some of my problems with PE4. It did solve a lot of the problems I've been having, and I have only read a couple of chapters.
Just like the awesome Muvipix tutorials (available online by subscription at the http://www.muvipix.com website), this book is clear and concise. Best of all, it acknowledges the host of compatibility problems between PE and all other programs - including camcorder interfaces - and offers workarounds that really solve the problems, usually without having to buy any new software!
If you're laboring away trying to edit videos on the computer using Premiere Elements, you need this book. Trust me.

This book is the positive, realistic guide all parents should have. I found the real life examples especially helpful and advice practical enough that anyone could use. Having been raised in a very difficult and punishing manner, I wanted to read a book which suggests a better way and when I meet and talk to new parents this is one of the books I always suggest parents read. The kindle version of this workbook is not worth buying because a lot of the book is comprised of tables and graphs which aren't readable with the kindle. I thought the kindle version would be workable in the sense you could actually write your entries in a separate notebook and just read the questions, but the missing table and graph content was a deal breaker for me.
