This is the perfect tool for recording special dates, keeping phone nos. you may or may not need again with the date of the appt (ie, garage door repair); the space provided is ample and there is add'l space along side the dates. I've used this particular calendar (published by the Nat'l Gallery of Art)for over 5 years and will go to great lengths to obtain it. The accompanying art is stirring and inspirational.
Living on an island you cannot always find what you want in the stores. Amazon.com is perfect for finding those special items I want and/or need.

Bought this to help plan an owner-builder house. Great reference, but not as comprehensive as I would have hoped. Missing residential SIP (Structural Insulated Panel) and other green building material costs. This publisher does print the best reference materials for the building industry.

This book is fairly inclusive but lacks costs for some specific tasks that can end up being fairly substantial for more specialized projects. Overall its a decent book, but it often leaves me looking for more.

The one other reviewer missed the point that prices are per foot! Multiply by 30 and he'd be in the ballpark.
This is an excellent source book for remodelers looking to establish a reasonable price for a job. You'll still have to do some hand tweaking to cover a few odds and ends, but in general it's all here. Gives cost + and - percentages for major cities in all states. Updated annually.

The Windows program that comes with the book crashes constantly (even after letting it download the latest updates from the publisher's website), making it impossible to use. Without the program, the book is almost useless since the data is out of date and, unlike the program, it cannot be customized for a particular region of the country.

The 2009 issue costs more than previous issues but has a very nice CD with program which allows you to print out the results. This is extremely handy for the person wishing to document their valuation. i can now place the print out directly into a report by printing to .pdf or to paperport, where I can export it to a jpg file.
In testing my own house, I concured with the final answer. I did have a glitch in producing the residual depreciation but since I use my own depreciation analysis anyway (market derived), I don't need that to function.
